Season starts tomorrow. Based on watching the pre show interviews, my faves for show:

Either way, I'd rather see a fave win this season over a fan(unless that fave who wins isn't on my list. But based on my list, you can tell what I want the final 3 to be(Malcolm,Brenda,Erik)

First episode was ok. Don't think it even needed to be 90 minutes. It was originally 2 hours, so really don't know why that was the case when nothing big really happened.

lol, funniest part was when Cochran was talking about past seasons and how Boston Rob just tapped people on the shoulder if a vote switch was happening, and then 5 seconds later, Malcolm comes and taps him on the shoulder just for fun.

Fans didn't seem too great(tribe wise) so far. You could tell this group of "favorites" wasn't huge. When they were being introduced, nobody got any reaction(especially Malcolm who nobody even knows since the season was taped before his aired). Sucks though how it doesn't seem like the 3 I wanted to win are gonna do much this season, they were barely featured on the 1st episode, and usually the people featured the most on the show are ones who make it further to the end.


And for anyone in Canada who was watching...is it just me, or does Boston Rob look OLD now lol. Half his head is grey hair.

Yeah I'm in Halifax and caught the Global feed. Boston Rob DOES look old. Maybe that's why he always wore a hat to cover up his greying hair.

Malcolm tapping Cochran on the shoulder was hilarious.

I sympathize with Cochran with his sunburn. I'm like him, I have very fair skin. The tops of my feet burn like a son of gun too. Now when I go to the beach or at the pool I have to cover the bottom parts of my legs and feet with a towel. It is brutal!

Francesca will probably go down as one of the worst if not the worst players ever. She did have an awesome moment though when she destroyed Matt in the water challenge at the start of the show. He tried to run off with the ring and she speared him. LOL!

Decent start.. I was LMFBO when they showed Cochran and his sunburn. My wife was sleeping and she woke up because I was literally laughing out loud. Being born in the Philippines, I know how bad the sun/weather is there, so I can see how he got so burnt. There were a few women who also had some lobster arms, so they need to be smart and stay under shade most of the day. Otherwise, they'll start blistering up and hopefully that won't be a way to go.

Fans seems like a dull bunch. I do like the bearded guy and the other guy wearing a hat, but other than those 2, it goes downhill. Shamar (big marine guy) seems like a lazy fat ***, and I bet any marine watching would of been shaking his head. He kept complaining about how they needed to build a fire first, yet he was sitting on his butt the entire time instead of trying to make a fire.. Of course he looks like a hero when he finally comes in and actually starts one..

The alliance of 4 that were made, especially the 2 guys, were really annoying. ("It's like high school and this is the cool kids table") I was hoping the Fans would lose immunity and one of those mimbo's would be voted out.. or Shamar.. But of course they had to win.

Good bye Fransequaaaaaa!!! I was so happy and giddy when they voted her out.. once again LOL. She tried to be this fierce competitor and tell people who to vote off first, and it backfired. Something about her is really annoying.. maybe its the faces she makes... Hilarious that she's been on 2 seasons of Survivor and hasn't made it past 1 week! Enjoy eating that rock!!

About the preview for the next few weeks...

Most of the time the previews can be misleading but from that preview it looks to me as if he's scrambling because his name is on the chopping block. Did they lose the immunity challenge again?

Yeah I'm thinking that too and that nothing can be as bad as Russel.. Although I wouldn't mind some excitement ala Russel Hantz style. And if I remember correctly, Russell talked down to Brandon about how he was trying to clear the Hantz name. Maybe this is Brandon's way of getting his uncle's approval back. Either way, Dawn looked like she had a mental breakdown or something.

That person said they're not talking to each other anymore, so doubt they'd care.

Also, in last fans vs faves season, didn't the people from Survivor China(James/Amanda) have more of an advantage than Malcolm? When Malcolm returns this season, nobody knows him, so he starts off by himself. When James/Amanda played in fans vs faves,they knew each other so they at least had each other in an alliance they could trust from the start. And is it just me, or back in that fans vs faves season, did the fans and faves actually seem to know who James/Amanda were?

How do they even go about selecting people to come back on Survivor as a "Favorite"? How is Francesca even considered a "Favorite" when she got eliminated first on Survivor: Redemption Island? Of all the returning players they could have had.

She was brought back ONLY because Phillip was brought back. Jeff Probst even said it himself. He's like "The second we thought of Phillip being brought back, you had to bring back Francesca too"(or something like that).


I'm thinking it's just basically "whoever says yes to the call first" gets to be on the season. Notice how most(minus Corinne) people who returned are from recent seasons, it's obviously just a cheap ratings reason.

There's so many people from season 1-19 that they should have brought back but they don't, because people would have forgotten about those people and then it wouldn't boost ratings from the start(even though those players from past seasons would have been great to see again)

Lowest viewership of a survivor premiere ever(it wasn't even close either to the previous low). Possibly one of least watched episodes in Survivor history.


It's renewed for season 27-28 already, and I hope if they do decide to cancel Survivor, they at least hold off until season 30 to do it.


Regardless if it gets cancelled, I'd love to see people from Big Brother on Survivor. Wonder if CBS ever thought of that. Big Brother people on Survivor, and Survivor people on Big Brother.

I also think the producers were trying to stir things up with Phillip by bringing back Fransesca. However, I also think the producers saw something in her that had her go far. I think if she squashed her relationship with Phillip and didn't try taking him out right away, she could of formed a good alliance. But she got too cocky, and started telling everyone to jump in the Vote for Phillip train and it derailed on her.

I also disagree with your "whoever calls back first" theory. If you think about it, all the favorites (minus Fransesca) made it fairly far to the game and had their own strategy in making it far.

All of them were part of the jury, and most had their own strategy to use to make it far. IE.. Phillip piggybacking with Boston Rob. Cochran used his weak nerdy status to make it seem like he wouldn't be a threat in challenges. Dawn used her mom like qualities to be sincere and have everyone gain her trust. Andrea and Brenda using their looks.

I don't think they put out a call to 100 former survivor contestants and see who calls out first. I actually feel it was a strategy by the producers to put this team together. If you think about it, there are more nerds/weirdo's (Erik, Cochran, Phillip) on this team than there are strong physical guys (Brandon/Malcolm). Nobody trusts Brandon because of his uncle Russell and nobody knows Malcolm. Brenda and Andrea can't form an alliance by using their looks, unless they want to with one of the weirdo's.

Although I do agree that they try to keep it within recent seasons, just so the newer viewers can have their favorites. I would of loved to see more strategic players like Bob Crowley (the guy who made 2 fake HII) or Yau-Man, who was just very smart.
