      Re: Survivor Caramoan

Greatest tribal ever. The look on everyone's face was priceless. I was wondering why Malcolm decided to show Dawn and Andrea he found the 2nd idol, when he could of hidden it and blindsided everyone. But I was hoping that he'd give his other idol to Eddie, which eventually happened.

I found it lame that Fillup declined to do the challenge. I don't want to offend anyone like I did with the Amazing Race thread with people's fear of water, but I thought that he should of at least tried. Honestly, I don't think Phillip was afraid, but I do think he knew that he was not going to beat Malcolm or Eddie in their heat, and therefore made up the story to not participate and try to save his energy for the next challenge (which won't be happening for him)

I do hope team Nerds (Cochran, Erik, Dawn, Brenda, Andrea) make a move and eventually get one of the bigger stronger guys out of that alliance. I do feel that Sherri can easily turn, since she's sucked at everything since Shamar left, so she's looking for an alliance she can try to ride till the final 4-5. Speaking of Sherri, what a horrible performance in the reward challenge. She made it seem like she was 50 feet in the air.. Somebody as fit as her, you would think she has great balance or is very athletic, but she was all molasses crossing the plank.

It reminded me of when he refused to run in the water during a previous challenge. In this case he was so confident he was in charge that he couldn't fathom being on the block, then Malcolm obliterated him at tribal. This is one of the best seasons ever

          Re: Survivor Caramoan

Well, this has become quite the season of "Survivor"...

Looked like a "wheel spinner" until a couple weeks ago, and now it's got the potential to be one of the "Best in Show", correct?

I admit, Malcolm had me fooled too...I thought he "found" the idol he's been hiding...not a second one...

So, his "Three Amigos" move had a lot of "impact" for this viewer...

One of the most interesting parts of the show for me though, was the 10 second "exit" interview with Phillip at the very end of the broadcast...

He could have easily gone with a "bitter" viewpoint, but was very sportsmanlike / upbeat and happy with the way he played his game...

He's going to (obviously) make one heck of a jury member...

So far, he's really only got a major axe to grind with Malcolm for "impugning his character", correct?

Its' looking like Andrea has a LOT to worry about and Chocran seems to be poised to fall into either the "Amigo" alliance or stay with the shards of "Stealth"...

I'll also be interested to see how long Sheri and Brenda can keep being dragged along...

They don't seem to be aligned with anybody that's left or has any control...

          Great stuff!

            Re: Survivor Caramoan

As annoying as Phillip can be, I do feel bad when the tribe belittles him at times. I know S R' Us is ridiculous, but at the same time, it's just a man trying to have extra fun in a game.

Last night, you can tell Phillip was a little discombobulated when he was voted out. It seemed as if he really thought he was safe and could keep going on in the game. But Erik just couldn't deal with him anymore. I really did wish it was Andrea so she could of just bawled her eyes out when Jeff snuffs out her fire.

As for Brenda, I really think she might go far. Last night's episode hinted that her and Dawn have formed a bond, and if Dawn can be stable enough for a couple more weeks, they can make an all female alliance with Cochran or Erik. (Most likely Cochran) I know she hasn't had much face time, but I feel that she using the opposite strategy that she used in her first season where she was chummy chummy with everyone and trying to play the game right away. If she stays the quiet girl, that wins immunity every now and then, her name will never come up in conversations.

So far it's been working. Also, I didn't know Brenda was hispanic? I always thought she was asian or samoan..

The tribe belittles him because of the way he acts. He causes everything himself. If you were to ask every person there confidentially what they thought of him, I'm sure all would not have a nice thing to say about him. The only reason he was still on the show is that it gave the favorites and easy target and "leader". The real players were able to stay back and let him think he had control.

Malcolm messed up a little bit. He should have played his idol before the vote. Then made the statement after Phillip said they should vote the same way. He could have said you now have a choice, waste your vote and let us pick who goes home or pick who you want to go home. We can pick you or you can vote for someone else and keep us from sending you home.

That would have shredded the group. You could even risk it and take the idol back and keep it. Once the group has to vote for one of their own, they would all turn on each other.

Now we will see if losing the figure head Phillip will be enough to get them to come out into open and take a leadership role.

                    Malcolm is gone!!!!!!!!!

Sucks to see this happen. I thought he'd be making the finals for sure! They focused so much of the show around him, thought it was a guarantee he'd be in the finals. Can't believe neither one of them switched votes! Though I could sorta understand it. Cause then it'd be 4 vs 4 and the person who switched could be the person voted out next, so unless it was a for sure 2 people switching to vote with the guys, it wouldn't have been best choice.

lol, don't know who to cheer for in this game anymore, I was basically 100% for sure Malcolm was winning. Though he didn't seem to happy at Survivor Philippines reunion when Jeff was asking if he'd wanna come back again(since he obviously knew Malcolm did technically come back already and was voted out in Caramoan), so guess we know why.

                    My new final 3:
                    Cochran, Andrea, Reynold.

Surprised that someone did not switch sides. Once the votes were tied 3-3-3 I knew it was the end for Malcolm.

I don't get the contestants mindset during any season of Survivor when it comes to the auction. You are absolutely ravenous. I'm bidding $500 right off the bat for the first item that isn't covered. Players will sit there and wait round after round and the auction finishes unexpectedly leaving half of them with nothing.

I felt the same about Malcolm, once it was a tri-split, he was done.

In regards to the auction, I'd never bid on an unknown item, and I wouldn't throw all my money out right away either, although I'd be damn tempted for the right food. I think Malcolm had the right idea to go after the idol info, it just didn't work when Andrea stalked him. I have to wonder though, even with her watching him why did he give up the search? I mean who cares if she knows he has it, bottom line is he HAS IT lol, they already know what's up when he bid for the info anyway.

They get to keep whatever money they don't spend(so if they dont win any bid, they have $500 extra from this game).

This late into game, I don't know if I'd want food. Filling up on food could make your body have to readjust again to little food intake the following 7-8 days, and it might make things worse than if you were to just stay consistent. Though that's just my guess since I don't have mindset of going 30 days with eating basically just rice and a few other stuff.

Don't know why nobody would pay all that extra for advantage in immunity! I'd have thought some ppl would hold out $500 just to bid on the advantage. Guess they were so confident they just went for other stuff. And is it just me, or was this the most item filled auction ever?

lol, and poor Brenda, the only person to get ripped off in that entire auction despite being the most excited about the auction. I thought Jeff would've stopped her right before she took a bite and would be like "or you could have....(and reveal a much better food item)"

                                Re: Survivor Caramoan

Anyone know what the $500 in game amounts to in real life? I would think it's $1 = $100, meaning that if they decide to keep the $500, they get $5000 when the game is done. I've always wondered this, and can't see a reason as to why people are so inclined in keeping the $500 for themselves instead of spending it on food. $500 isn't much, especially if it gives you a chance to prolong your stay in the game.

Also I knew that nobody would switch their votes in tribal. Sherri and Erik are smart to know that they can't keep the muscle, because if at any point they win an immunity challenge, it can derail their plans. Once they get rid of the muscle, it's game on for anybody in the immunity challenges.

And Sherri is a very smart player, this entire time I thought she lost that drive and focus she had earlier about trying to play her game, but she was just waiting for the right moment and keeping her words minimum so she doesn't become a bigger target.

Now that Malcolm is gone, she has multiple choices.. She can form one with Reynold or Eddie. Stay with the favorites, or even create a new one with Erik and maybe Cochran.

And it does suck with Brenda, but seeing her facial expressions during the auction was priceless. Her line of "I forgot I don't even eat pork" as she's eating the pig brain was great.
