I've changed my opinion about Philip and Malcolm. After watching the ponderosa stuff, Philip is totally a good guy & now I'm kinda sad he's out. Malcolm on the other hand, whom I was rooting for, comes across as vain. I know it could just be editing but all the junk about "I'm so pretty" struck me the wrong way.

Re: Survivor Caramoan
Final Wednesday episode of the season tonight! Sounds like this could be yet another huge episode. Based on how Jeff was talking about this episode, makes me think:
SpoilerSomeone like a Dawn,Sherri
Will be voted out tonight
I just finished watching a bunch of videos(Malcolms interview on the "Survivor After Show" was funny, especially his reaction to Parv calling him out at times). Really seems like this could be one of the least bitter jurys in Survivor history.
And about next season, from what I'm hearing, there's some rumors about next season I like, and some that I HATE
SpoilerHalf the returning people will be great to see return, but the other half are people who it's just stupid they're returning. Most of the returning females shouldn't be returning at all. They did NOTHING notable at all during their time on the show, so we're gonna be stuck with boring floaters for several weeks again next season. And there's one rumored guy returning that I hope doesn't return, if Survivor seriously brings him back, I'm unsure if I'm gonna watch this season live, or DVR it and watch 10 mins later so I can skip through his parts.Last edited by Majingir; 05-08-2013, 04:18 PM.Comment

Re: Survivor Caramoan
This is the part about Survivor I hate. Bringing the loved ones out, and the cast goes absolutely insane, bawling so hard their words are indecipherable. They cry their eyes out & sprint into each others arms for a violent embrace. It's been 17 days. I mean, come on. I know I'm not a great example but I haven't seen my family since Xmas and I'm dreading seeing them all on Mothers day. 17 days.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Survivor Caramoan
^17? It's been 35. And it's completely diff situation from not seeing/talking to people who you know you CAN at any time, while living your normal life.
In Survivor, they're living in the outdoors, tired, hungry, beat up, limited food, hot weather, no connection to real life, not a single comfort from their daily lives, all nonstop for over a month at this point, with only talking to a dozen or so people in that timespan(none of which, you even know you can trust 100%), so getting to see family members(especially for someone like Dawn or Sherri who are married/have kids that they see every single day) would be a huge deal.
Like I said, even if someone might not see family members for awhile, you at least know the option is there any time to just call them or talk to them or something, and you're going on with your normal life to keep you busy in the meantime. On Survivor, there's nothing really there for you. Each day it's maybe an hour or two of stuff, the rest is "downtime", so it does take a huge toll on someone.
And Brenda getting voted out!?!?!?!!! 2 of past 3 weeks have been horrible for me to watch seeing 2 people I wanted in finals voted out! And then to find out it was...SHERRI AGAIN! doing all of that! First she's the reason Malcolm went home, now she's the reason Brenda went home. I never liked Sherri from the start, but now I hate her even more! She BETTER go first tribal of the finale.Comment

Agree about Brenda though, poor thing gave up the BBQ to be generous to the rest, and they repay her by giving her a blindside. I guess I understand the strategy to get her when it's not expected, especially since who knows how many immunities she might win so she's exposed, but I can't say I respect it.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Survivor Caramoan
Getting her out obviously had to be done, but just sucks to see it happen. Keep saying it each week now, if Cochran DOESN'T win...this season would be a waste cause he's only person the show is really focusing on at this point.
And the thing about Erik was that he didn't say 17, he said 70(amount of days he's played Survivor in total) dating back to his previous season. Malcolm was at 68 before he got voted off(which was much harder than Eriks 70 since Malcolm played 68 days of Survivor in a 2.5 month(consecutive) timespan.Comment

Re: Survivor Caramoan
lol,If final 3 is Eddie,Erik,Sherri....it's anyones game. Possibly even a 4-2-2 vote at the end. Though Erik might #3 of the remaining players in likeliness to win(Cochran 1st,Dawn 2nd). Based on ponderosa comments, seems like some people see Erik as one of few people ever to fly this low under radar, despite winning challenges.
Anyone else wondering why Dawn/Brenda didn't even think about looking for the hidden idol(since they both knew Andrea was voted out with it. Meaning idol would be rehidden) while everyone was gone from the beach for HOURS
Crazy to think about all the blindsides we've seen:
Corinne(looked like Sherri might have been going home, but then Corinne gets shocked/voted out)
Phillip(the 6 thought it was just split vote then get someone out, but double idol plays made it craziest tribal ever and Phillip goes home)
Malcolm(not knowing if the guys got Erik or Sherri to flip or not, lead to the shocking final vote revealing a 3 way tie and Malcolm leaving in the end)
Andrea(Andrea thinking she's 100% safe, then getting voted out 3-2-2,leaving while having hidden idol)
Brenda(Same as Andrea. Thinking she's 100% safe, even throwing the immunity challenge, then voted out 3-2-1)
Fans vs Faves 1 had best tribals ever with most blindsides, but this season has to be close second in blindside department. Only thing is that this season had majority of tribals that weren't that great, but the ones that were great, stand out big time in Survivor history)Last edited by Majingir; 05-09-2013, 01:05 AM.Comment

Re: Survivor Caramoan
I liked Brenda but it was a very smart thing to do to blindside her. If she made it to the end I think she would have won. I'm rooting for Cochran but I think he could be targeted next if he fails to win immunity.
SpoilerFrom the preview for Sunday it looks like someone could get pulled from the game with injury/illness. That would be massively cruel for that to occur this late on.Last edited by ~LiverpoolRed~; 05-09-2013, 08:57 AM.Comment

SpoilerI'd laugh if it was Erik cause he tried climbing the tree again. This late in the game, would suck for sure if someone is taken out, who knows if they actually are or not.Comment

Don't know what made me think I needed Spoiler tags for that.
Watch it be Dawn losing her teeth in the water again and quitting.Comment

I wonder if it has anything to do with the snake they showed near someone's foot, might just be a tease. If the production team sees a potentially dangerous situation like that, would they intervene?Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Brenda Ponderosa Part 1 (Yet again they only bother to upload part 1 for some unknown reason)

Re: Survivor Caramoan
The nano second glimpse made me think it's:
1) A female's foot
2) The ankle was "Sherri Size" as opposed to what I'd assume Dawn is rocking down there...
Sherri has been interesting to me form the get go because:
1) I'm a "Cougar Sympathizer"
2) She's been an interesting contestant in that shes seems like a "coattail player" but has actually been instrumental in the blindsides, but won't likely take the heat for any of them...
3) She's arrogant for no good reason
Anyway:
Gotta hope Cochran is FTW, because Dawn is barely able to keep it together, Eric is easily led, Sherri is likely "out" (if my theory is correct)...
HOWEVER:
If Eddie gets to the end they HAVE to give it to him for "Surviving" how many tribals when he was the likely (or second likely) to get the boot...
I guess I'd be fine with that as well...
GREAT season, regardless!Comment
