    Power Rangers: MegaForce

WTF is this? It's surprising that the show has lasted this long, but why don't they make it better or evolve it? I just finished watching the series premiere and boy was it cringe worthy.

This new one took the exact same concept as the original, "assembling a group of teenagers with attitude" except its much cheaper and pretty dull.

The generation of kids growing up these days aren't buying into this dull cringe worthy show anymore. My 11 year old brother laughed all the way through the episode today at how bad it was.

Animated shows like Young Justice, Star Wars Clone Wars or even shows like The Regular show and Adventure time have learned how to straddle on the line of entertaining children and even adults to a degree. Why hasn't The power rangers gone through that concept?

I remember when one of my younger brothers made me watch Power Rangers Time Force and power ranger SPD with him. As terrible as those still were, they had some pretty interesting concepts and even the actors seemed to be comfortable in their roles.

The last season of Power Rangers (Samurai) and this one new Mega-Force are just plain terrible in terms of casting, script and overall production value.

I don't know, maybe it's because i still hold a place in my heart for the original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers that i keep coming back to this show, but they are terrible and unimagitive.

Maybe you'd enjoy watching Super Sentai more? Also, I feel live we've had this conversation before.

      It's much cheaper?

Go back and rewatch The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers now. The only thing cheaper then that **** is the old Godzilla movies.

Still, The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are above and beyond the best set of Power Rangers, ever.

Yeah Power Rangers has never been a particularly great show. Directed at kids for a reason.

Well now poor CGI is rampant and it looks so fake. Plus a lot more of the scenes look like they are ripped right out of the Japanese version. I swear to you, sometimes when the monsters are attacking you see groups of Asian people running around in the back ground.

I don't know, maybe it's nostalgia but watching some of the original episodes of power rangers aren't terrible. Some have held up pretty well, it's just surprising that as people mature and trends come and go, the power rangers haven't evolved, the show has actually regressed.

For me, I haven't watched any of the new ones.. but I know from my experience with the Power Rangers, no group will ever be better then the original (plus I liked Johnny Bosch and Steve Cardenas).

I remember getting so excited for this when I was younger thinking it would be Voltron re-invented.

              I was wrong.

I watched this on Saturday with my younger brother... and it feels exactly like the original. Which would be great, as I liked the original... it was very campy, yes, but that's kind of what gave it its appeal. The problem is that they haven't changed that. It's no longer the 90s... they needed to go somewhere with the franchise, and I feel as though they could have, but they simply haven't.
