I didn't like it being called the Corporate Bar, that was such a drastic change from what they had. Same with changing The Brixton to Rocket Room 6, seemed kind of kiddy. I was happy when he kept the one guys bar slutty and kept the girls in little clothing, just cause it seems like he always goes for the classy rich crowd bar.

Didn't matter what you change the pirate bar too it's going to be drastic and it fit that area well.

Last nights however was awful, I thought it was far and away the worst name change he had ever done.

Yeah Corporate Bar was perfect due to it was downtown in a very business type area I believe. I just love the episode because they diss them so bad at the end by saying they live in their parent's basement or something

He gets to caught up on reputation. The one known for underage drinking was one of the few that absolutely needed to change. If they truly improve a reputation of bad service will go away in a month.

The parents basement thing was true. They were making no money and reverted back to the Pirate Bar after the show left, and were still with no business 3 months later.

I'm sure it will go away, but having a new name implies that it's an entirely new place which I think for a lot of these bars is a good thing especially since they need to start making $$ now.

I can't even watch the pirate bar when it's being rerun...those people are too infuriating. And I say that as someone who doesn't feel that way about any reality shows like this.

BY FAR the dumbest concept I've ever seen or heard. I just don't get it - at all.

You have to read the reviews on yelp about that pirate bar. They even talk about Taffer at length on their web site. That woman is dilusional.

Awesome, was watching a bunch of episodes last week during the day when I was sick.

My new favorite was I believe one in Denver where the owner was very stubborn, fight almost started cause he was calling the chef Taffer brought in Fat, etc or something like that. Scripted or not I it's fantastic TV when Taffer goes in on some of the people.

I do wonder how much of stuff is scripted. Not just this show, but there sort of shows in general.

I don't think any of this is really scripted. The bar owners probably over exaggerate everything because they know it will get them on TV and get people to the bar.

This is my show. It's always on Spike recently. Commercials are extra long it seems though.

I don't drink, but still love this show. I like Restaurant Impossible but it gets kind of boring. This isn't as bad.

I agree with you though. I'm more interested in seeing what is done to fix the bar/owners. The manufactured drama gets old.

I've alway wondered what the % is of bars that actually start turning a profit after appearing on this show. I'd imagine it's not very high.

I could've saved you the trip to "Murphy's Law" lol. I hope you checked out the Dogwatch Bar instead. That's the one opened by their manager after she left them.

I was in Fells Point a little over a week ago and the bartender at the place we were at was talking about how much of a dump that place was.

Anyway, this is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. I've never been to any of the places, but I'm almost positive I walked by the one place on Bourbon Street. It was before I started watching the show though, so I had no idea or else I would've stopped in for a drink.
