Saw this last night with some family and we loved it one of the best horror movies I've seen in a very long time... surprised that the theater was backed full....was a nice ride for sure, kinda reminded me of a good action movie in the since that once the action starts it just goes by so quickly. I thought the pacing of the movie and the scares were nice with the flow. Question for those who didn't like the ending how would you have rather seen it go? Didn't bug me so just curious.

Theater was packed when I got there too. I was surprised since it was a Thursday and 6 days after release.

Although it doesn't open in theaters for three more days, New Line Cinema is already cementing plans for a sequel to The Conjuring.

The studio has brought on Chad Hayes and Carey Hayes, who wrote the original thriller, to start working on the sequel script. The Conjuring stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, who investigate the haunting of a farmhouse.

The sequel is said to explore some of the other famous cases that Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren worked on, some of which were turned into movies themselves such as The Amityville Horror and The Haunting in Connecticut.

Here's what New Line president Toby Emmerich had to say about the follow-up.
"We have Lorraine's permission and support, and we are working on developing another film."

It isn't known if director James Wan will return to direct, especially since he recently signed on to direct Fast & Furious 7, which is already slated for release on July 11, 2014.

I figured part 2 would have something to do with The Warren's little girl, since the doll got out and was messing with her. I do like that they will explore other cases though

Saw this with my wife today. She pretty much hates my guts for making her see this. But it was a blast to see an old school horror flick with my wife squeezing my arm so hard it ached after the movie.

My punishment is that she gets to pick the next movie. Thank God for a normal name. She claimed the right to pick the next 28 films after 28 Days Later.

Saw it with my girlfriend on Thursday and thought it was well done for a horror movie. She told me she had trouble sleeping the next night when I had to work the night shift and she was home alone. So I guess it was pretty scary for her compared to most others in the genre.

Comes out today. That seemed really fast, but I guess they wanted it available for Halloweeners that want it for a weekend viewing.

I want to get it now, but want to show it to my sister when she comes back home. Won't be for a couple months unfortunately.

Watched this twice since it came out on DVD.

Instant classic. Still freaky as hell.
