    Vikings

So this show premiered on Sunday @ 10pm on the History Channel, and it was GREAT!

Its like Skyrim to some degree w/o dragons, magic, and enchanted weapons lol.

Gabriel Bryne plays the Jarl, and he's done a fine job thus far.

        Re: Vikings

Watched the first 2 episodes today (EP2 sneak peek is On-Demand).

Really liking it so far. You can already see the tension between the brothers and the story between Ragnar & the Chieftan looks like it's going to intense.

Definitely going to be watching this week-in and week-out.

Another good episode. That spy guy was an idiot if he thought the jarl was really going to let him sleep with his wife. I was saying to myself don't do it, it is a trap. Sure enough it was.

The way they killed the spy would be such a terrible way to die, too. Stabbed in the abdomen and then whacked in the back a few times with hatchets.

I honestly thought they were going to chop his manhood off 1st when that guy pulled out the knife. I was thinking oh my he probably still has a hard on too, they going to chop it off, then kill him.

Finally got caught up as I missed episode 3. The wife and I watched eps 3 and 4 last night. We both love this show, its my 2nd favorite show after The Walking Dead.

If you have not watched it yet, you need to catch up and start watching.

Really good show so far! I love shows from this time period (im currently watching Game of Thrones too) especially when they look so realistic, the star character is so grimy and just as disgusting as the rest of the Vikings, as a lot of shows like to make the main character look "pretty." Can't wait to see what types of twist and turns happen.

This is my fave show right now. Also, my last name is Haralson, so watching this show has made me research some of my Viking heritage.

Didn't know about this show and OnDemand starts at episode 3 unfortunately. I did watch that episode though and it is a good show. Gonna find the first two online and get caught up. Glad I decided to click on this thread.
                        PS: You guys are great.

My grandpa did some research, and apparently our family comes from the same bloodline as Ragnar. Absolutely crazy.

But about the show itself, I've only watched the first episode, and am hoping to catch up eventually.

Unfortunately it's about the only thing I can stomach on the History Channel these days.
