It's amazing how the Star Warsians go nuts over a new character. It was like the second coming of the Beatles!Comment

Your damn right I'll be there opening night. The only one I missed on opening night was back in 1977. And that wasn't my fault, I was only six years old

The post is dated 9/24/2007, Halo 3 came out 9/25/2007. You were posting about the costume you were going to wear to the midnight release. Your deleted post with the images, that I won't post here, stated "I am goin to keep workin on it even tho I wont have it done in time for release tonight. LMAO....dont make fun of me....lol."

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII
Yep, had those first 3 came out first, they would have been a laughing stock. Waterworld meets Cowboys & Aliens.
If you saw the original trilogy IV - VI as a kid/adolescent, there was no way to enjoy I,II, III. They were garbage, except for 3 that was fairy descent but still bad, because too much focus on computer generated clutter. They were all ruined by too many special effects and trying to hit marketing/merchandise homeruns with things like Jar Jar binks.
Actually, Lucas started going for the marketing money grab with Ewoks in ROJ. It was less about the story and more about merchandising at that point, and the series suffered. I'm glad he's stepped back.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII
I remember coming out of the theater with my buddies after seeing Jedi, and we were kind of in a state of shock. Yeah, it was good, but if we were being honest with ourselves, it was several notches below Empire. The prequels continued that downward spiral at maximum velocity. With these new trailers, I have that New Hope/Empire vibe, so we'll see what happens.Yep, had those first 3 came out first, they would have been a laughing stock. Waterworld meets Cowboys & Aliens.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII
That's not exactly true. The Ewoks were supposed to be Wookies but they realized they couldn't execute on that vision on such a large scale back in the 80's. Thus, Wookies became Ewoks and the Wookies (along with their home planet of Kasshyk) warring with the Empire was finally realised in Revenge of the Sith.Comment

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII
Dude, he made Ewoks Teddy Bears to appeal to the younger kids and launch a cartoon series and toy line. Jaba's palace looked like a skit from the Muppet show. I thought the movie was good when I saw it as a kid, when I watched it later, it was clearly a money grab compared to the first 2(IV & V).That's not exactly true.
