    Justin Timberlake: The 20/20 Experience

Justin Timberlake is (along with Lupe Fiasco) my favorite musician by far. So, I'm beyond excited for the 20/20 Experience.

It's been six years since he last dropped an album (and I created the thread for that too, fun to reread).

Any other people anticipating the album like me? For those who have heard it, any thoughts?

Favorite tracks for me are: Mirrors, Pusher Love Girl, Tunnel Vision, and Strawberry Bubblegum.

This definitely doesn't sound at all like Justified or FutureSex which I like. Hard for me to rate it, but I already know some tracks are going to get skipped once the novelty of a new JT album wears off (Spaceship Coup, Let the Goove In). That can be problematic when your album is only 10 tracks. Still, upon my first few listens I think it's a great album. I love how he's evolved as a musician. Looking forward to the Target bonus tracks!

Mirrors is def the top for me.
Not a big fan of Suit and Tie.

I listened to the whole album on iTunes and the free streaming they have available now.

I will buy it for sure, just not sure when.

Sidenote: I just love Timberlake in everything. One of my favorite people

Definitely plan on checking this out, like WDog said he's one of my favorite people as well as he can truly do it all.

I also listened to the free stream on iTunes and was not impressed. The only songs I liked were "That Girl" I think it's called and "Mirrors". Everything else was pretty meh. I'm not a fan of Suit & Tie and believe the only reason people consider giving it play is because of the names on the track and not the content alone.

I haven't listened to the full stream yet but pre-ordered the album a few weeks ago and love Mirrors. Suit & Tie is meh to me, but I'm really looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. JT & Timbo is consistently the best artist + producer combo there is, IMO.

My problem isn't the content, I love rocking a suit so I feel that, but it sonically just doesn't have much replay value to me. I think it lacks the appeal and bounce of typical JT and Timbaland tracks. Plus I'm biased because I made an unreleased song about wearing a suit that's much catchier lol. But I can agree that the names are why it has any popularity

Pusher Love Girl, Suit & Tie, That Girl, and Mirrors are easily my favorites so far.

The rest I'm going to have to give a few more listens to.

                Tunnel Vision >>>>>> Life

Strawberry Bubblegum is super dope too. And as already stated Mirrors/Suit & Tie and That Girl are also favs.

All in all, a solid album, but after a 7 year hiatus, was expecting something...bigger.

How are you all streaming from iTunes? I search and all the songs are greyed out. Am I in the wrong place or does it not work from iPhone?

I'll give the man credit for his talents, but the only way I buy his material is if the wants it, which she does not. Kind of suprising, as big of a fan as she has always been.

The more I listen to this album, the more I'm loving it.

Justified was a great album but more or less was Justin breaking out as a solo artist hooking up with the biggest hip-hop producers of the time and doing what's current. It was almost like an ode to the present

FutureSex/LoveSounds lived up to the name as Justin and Timberland developed a unique sound that was unique, over the top sonically and well... futuristic. In a way, that album was almost like an ode to the future.

The 20/20 Experience has Justin again doing something different as this album is in a lot of ways a throwback with modern day production and gloss. Watch the video for suit and tie, listen to songs like That Girl, Spaceship Coupe, and Pusher Love Girl and tell me Justin isn't channeling a bit of that old school Motown flavor with this effort. This album is in a way an ode to the past.

Or I'm just analyzing this ish way too much. Either way, I love all three efforts and they are all wildly different rather than "more of the same".
