    Trend-Micro Anti-virus renewal problem

    Anyone here use TrendMicro Virus? I got notice mine was expiring in 10 days so I ponied up $$$ to renew for 2 years...got the email, uninstalled the old software, installed the new software, still says "Software expires in 10 days"..

    Anyone know what the deal is? Will that go away in 10 days and the message will say it expires in 2 years at that time??

    Anyone know?

    You shouldn't be paying money for anti-virus protection.

      I've had this same issue... IF you have the "auto-renewal" on your subscription, you do NOT need to re-submit payment to Trend Micro. It's an odd situation, but what will happen is the renewal will ONLY show up on the EXACT DATE of the renewal. It is then you will see the charge (for me, it's on my debit card, which I can view through my online banking on a daily basis). You may have to click on the part in the main page of Trend Micro (after you OPEN it) - next to the big green check-mark that says "protected" - click "latest protection" (or something close to this). You may need it to update the DAY OF your next renewal.

      I contacted them just a couple weeks ago - yeah, I'm frustrated with them because their people seem to give multiple answers. But the lady I spoke with also told me that you WILL have coverage on your computer for 30 days after the expiration / renewal date. But if you have any problems contact them via phone. Also, let them check your account to review your payments, making sure there is NOT a double payment being made.

      Hope this helps... As stated, I just went through this very thing and I have both a home pc and laptop with them. I was good to go. And I would also say it's important to have virus protection that is paid for. My life, and most others, are critical to the health of our computers... I feel better knowing I've paid for this... Kinda like a good mechanic, doctor, or barber - if your computer is important, take care of protecting it!

        Thanks mkharsh33, I will keep my eye on it. I did call them yesterday and they said by today it should show updated but it's still saying my protection expires in 8 days. If it's not updated tomorrow I will call them again.
