Looks like no Clarice this time. I'm excited for the series premiere tonight (NBC, 10pm EST), but it's in the same time slot that crushed Do No Harm, coming on after 2 hours of comedies. Hopefully this does well so I won't go through the same routine of enjoying a new show and watching it get zip ratings and die quickly

Since I first heard the announcement I was intrigued by how Mads Mikkelsen was going to play Hannibal. Might watch tonight or catch on demand tomorrow if I end up gaming.

Interesting that creator/producer Bryan Fuller is talking about a seven season arc (13 episodes per season), with season 4 based on Red Dragon. Interesting, because there is no commitment to anything beyond the first season.

I have always liked the Hannibal character...Anthony Hopkins played him so good. Liking this show so far. Anybody think the guy playing Hannibal here favors The Rock?

Premiere was a big miss for me. They approached it all wrong, imo.

I don't know...it was confusing. For me the confusion starts with the main protagonist who is more messed up than Hannibal. I didn't even get the self description of him being a sociopath, with aspergers who is autistic. It seems like this dude has some type of superpower of magically or "radioactively" knowing what happened at a crime scene.

Yeah, I'll say it was... interesting. Not really what I was expecting, but now that I have an idea maybe it'll grow on me.

The middle part of the show really seemed to slow down, like they intended it to be more psychological but it didn't really click for me... or maybe it went over my head . Few more episodes for sure though.

Also, I've never heard of Mads Mikkelsen before but he reminded me of Christopher Reeve

Was pretty good, Hannibal is not really the main character yet which I wasn't expecting. (I mean he is a major character, but graham seems to be the main character at the moment and the actor playing him was fantastic)

Did terrible in the ratings, but its also NBC and had the most viewers of the night for NBC. The good news is that it had the highest Thursday 10PM ratings for NBC in a year. So as long as it doesn't bomb, I would think NBC would pick it up.

Hannibal character just weirds me out because of his face & hair cut. One thing I didn't get is how Will all of a sudden a is carrying a gun? He goes from being a professor to shooting people.

Loved it.

I'm a big Bryan Fuller fan (Pushing Daisies was awesome), so I'm pretty confident that it'll be quality. Just hope it lasts, you never know these days since so many shows never really get the chance to establish themselves.
