This show's writing (plot, dialogue and character development) makes so many others shows, many that I really like, look like amateur hour.

I could be wrong about what it means, but I'm feel like I'm one of the few people who immediate thought that Jemma puking means that she is already pregnant with Deek's mom.

Writing on this show has been great. Unfortunately, this show is a rarity because of the budget and everything else about it. It truly is like weekly mini movies. Though that's also why it could be cancelled and was supposed to last year.

Jemma being pregnant shouldn't happen. Every show I watch, it's like a female will only ever get sick when she's pregnant, and that's everyone's first way of finding out. It's up there with someone else finding a pregnancy test, or noticing she's drinking water, not alcohol.


Shouldn't have a baby though. As if FitzSimmons hasn't been through enough. Have a baby, Fitz might not be stable or want to be around, that goes bad, and this just leads to same timeline as that future. Main hope for FitzSimmons future is Deke still being around. The longer Simmons goes without having a baby, longer it means FitzSimmons is together since we know Dekes mom has to be born.

Yeah, now is definitely not the same for FS to have a kid. Fitz is clearly unstable and having a kid could take him further off the rails IMO.

I considered the pregnancy angle there as well, but I’m just hoping it was for dramatic effect of her finding out such a huge piece of news. But then you look at the timeline, the events that lead to that future are already in motion, for Deke to be the age he is and just guessing the age of his mom from what she looked like in that brief moment we saw her, she’s gotta be born pretty soon right? How far in the future had they traveled?

Also, don’t know if anybody saw the news, but Coulson is confirmed to be appearing in the Captain Marvel movie. Any chance this season is really the end and that’s a sign of working the Agents characters back into the movie universe? Granted Captain Marvel takes place in the 90’s when he was still “alive.”

I forgot about the timeline of Captain Marvel, so that makes any speculation I had about what that means for AOS null and void.

This episode definitely makes you think about some things alot differently in the series past, specifically S2-3.

Though the more things are happening, the more it seems like everything that happened in the future will still happen. I wonder if that's another way S5 will serve as a possible series finale, if it ends the way it began.

It was actually a deleted scene from S1.

Guess that really does explain why Quinn was never heard/seen from again. They intended for him to "die" in S1 and wouldn't have ever made sense having him appear again.

Either they save the world or they save Coulson!

Given that they're writing it as the possible series finale, I think Coulson actually does die. If show continues for a S6, they'll go on without him, Daisy being the new leader.

I’m really pumped to see how they go with this. Sucks that we’re just stuck here in limbo on whether the show is continuing or not. Guess we’ll know for sure by the time the show airs Friday right? Network upfronts are this week right?

ABC is announcing their schedule on Tuesday, so that will be the latest date we'll know.

It's the only show on ABC that hasn't been announced as cancelled or renewed. Part of me is thinking even if it does get renewed, they might do something like put it only on that new Disney streaming service. It's one of the more DVRed shows on TV, so putting it on their streaming platform might work. Though I'd hate it cause I wouldn't be able to see it.

Some good and bad news about the future of Shield that Marvel/ABC announced today:

Good news:
Shield renewed for a 6th season!

Bad news:
It will be just 13 episodes (but not yet announced as final season, but it probably is).

I hope those 13 episodes happens in January 2019 onwards. So I can watch all episodes of the show from S1-5 before the (likely) final season.

I thought that this is what might happen. Even though AOS is one of the shows that can handle more episodes, most of the best storytelling on TV now is being done on shows with 8-13 episodes. I'm expecting a phenomenal season 6.

Gonna mess with their mojo though. They’re formula has been great with the focus of one half of the season being on something that leads to the second half’s theme/overarching story. They’re able to really flesh out the stories with the 22 episodes, cutting it to 13 may make everything feel more rushed. We’ll see how it shakes out though. They’ve got a talented group all around so they’ll probably knock it out the park.
