They could technically still survive in the ocean though....he could have shot them in the head to do it right like Garrett would have wanted.

I thought Ward dumped them in the lake because he cared for them and he said that's a weakness....So putting them in the lake means they're gone from the plane(so Garrett would think Ward took care of them) but he knows they're smart enough to figure out a way to safety.

I dont know, he told them to come out so he could kill them. He said he has his orders but they wouldn't come out which is why he dumped them.

No idea how they plan on getting out of a random box in the middle of the ocean between the US and Cuba.

They were supposed to be outta there like Coulson told them to and decided not to go so he doesn't even know they are captured.

Only saving grace... the box keeps them with oxygen for a time, and Fitz uses that quarter to signal Tripplet for a rescue

They left it open as to who killed the dog for a reason. There is a bunch of foreshadowing to him not being all bad. He is going to have to make a choice, maybe in the finally or it could be the cliffhanger.

Did he let the dog go and then shoot it?
Did Garrett shot the dog?

I think that Garrett was watching and then shot the dog with Ward still able to see. This leads to some of their conversations about Ward not getting attached and that being his weakness.

The dropping the box I view as a show for anyone watching him. He knew they wouldn't come out and just played it out. He could have just waited it out to kill them, but he gave them a chance.

He definitely let the dog go

The rifle was sat down on a post when they started talking and he told Ward that he was accepted into sheild.

At that moment Garrett has a pair of bonoculas in his hand, and he walks off. No gun on a strap on his back or in his hand.

We see Ward shoot in the air so the dog can run off, but afterwards a scoped gun takes him out I guess.

All we know is, he was in jail, got recruited by a Hydra agent, posed as a sheild agent... killed some sheild agents in cold blood... are we questioning if he's bad or not really?

Plus Garrett keeps saying "You don't owe me anything", but Ward had constantly believed that forever. Maybe now he's realizing that Garrett is using him as a tool and not really caring that much about him? That Fitz and everyone really did care about him?

Part of me thinks that the season finale ends with something like Ward killing Garrett(or just letting him die) but then another swerve happens where instead of just turning back good or something, he takes over as the main person in charge of Hydra.

Yeah, there's tons of things that could happen, and I didn't see the Ward swerve (at least it wasn't telegraphed) so I like that we're kept a bit in the dark.

For that exact reason....not letting him die on his own, Ward wanting to be the one to do it.

I think it will play out like this.

1)Ward has to make a choice of who to kill. Sky or Garrett. Which one he kills determines what side he is on going forward.

2)Garrett dies, but not at Ward's hands. Ward then has to make a choice, become leader of Hydra or go to Shield.

Another thing to think about.....if Garrett dies, what happens to "Deathlok"? Isn't the only real reason he's still doing all this because he can be killed at any moment? But if Garrett is gone, doesn't that mean he's free?

Deathlok got an order that garrett is done you can proceed something like that. Weird. Garrett has no reason to refer to himself in the 3rd person. Weird

Deathlok by marvel standards is a good guy right? Yeah twist next season. Maybe

Ward could've killed skye but also told her he wasn't trying to hurt her as well when she ran off.

By the way ward the actor put on instagram today they got the okay for season 2 and he was excited.
