If it's the final season, then 13 episodes will basically just be one big final arc to end the show.

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
ABC schedule shows that Shield won't air in the fall. No confirmation on when it'll premiere, but I'd guess it will air in the winter. Gives everyone time to watch the entire series before S6 airs, especially if S6 happens to be their final season.
There's an Avengers movie coming out in May 2019 as well, so if Shield happens to have any kind of tieins to it, especially if it's their final season, we could see the show end in April.Last edited by Majingir; 05-15-2018, 11:44 AM.Comment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
Looks like the season 6 wont begin until after the next Avengers movie next may. So more than likely the season finale will tie in to the Avengers movie of this year.

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
Yep, just about to post the same. Summer 2019 is so far away!
From TVByTheNumbers:
ABC has picked up “Agents of SHIELD” for a sixth season in 2018-19 — emphasis on the “19” part.
Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, told reporters Tuesday that Season 6 of the show is slated for summer 2019 rather than during the traditional September-to-May season.
That will more or less coincide with the release of the next “Avengers” movie (currently set for May 3, 2019), but Dungey says Marvel didn’t dictate the release of “SHIELD” and whatever connection it still has to the Marvel movie universe.
“No one holds it closer to the vest than they do,” Dungey says of Marvel’s plans. “Whatever they have planned, I cannot say.”Comment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
Yeah, was coming to post that. Really excited to see what happens here. This also leaves the door open to characters from Agents of SHIELD to potentially cameo in Avengers 4 as well since they'll be starting the show up after the events of 4.Comment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
lol, and I thought waiting 8 months inbetween S4-5 was alot.
It's done this week, and then we have to wait a year for the next one!
You could basically just watch 2 episodes a week between S5-6 if you want to rewatch the whole series.
From reading quotes about having the show in summer 2019, it sounds like that actually gives it a better chance of lasting beyond S6. Can see why, I'm sure networks hate shows highly DVRed because of the ad money. Shield in summer could have more people watching live, and be a summer show that has a consistent fanbase.Last edited by Majingir; 05-15-2018, 02:20 PM.Comment

It might be better if they switch it up and do 1-2 seasons of a different character or 2.

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
That season(written as series) finale...
Spoiler
Fitz died and Coulson is ready to die too! And with Fitz dead, Deke is gone too! All that is too much in one episode!
If it was a series finale, having it end with Coulson in Tahiti would be a fitting end. Though with it not being a series finale, I wonder how they even continue this. No Coulson, and FitzSimmons is done too!
The team is now basically just Daisy,Mack,Yo Yo, May and Simmons? Unless they actually manage to go in space and save the other Fitz(since he's frozen in space, and will be transported to a future that he doesn't need to be part o anymore). But I wonder what really does happen to Coulson. They left it open to have him return in some form if the show did continue on, and die if it just ends at S5. Anything is possible in these types of shows, and saying he has "days or weeks" left, alot could happen. He could even manage to live but not tell the rest of Shield(similar to how he hasn't told the Avengers he isn't dead).

Here’s the good news: Yes, Fitz died, but that was future Fitz. Present-day Fitz is still in cryo-sleep, floating around in space just waiting to be woken up in the future. So there is hope of a FitzSimmons reunion!-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

I don't even remember that but we'll see if it rings true on the showComment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
SpoilerJeff Ward (Deke "FitzSimmons")
Sounds like filming will be still happening like normal.
Cool to hear the casts comments on Jeff Ward. Apparently he was just gonna be some 1 episode character who would get killed (the guy we saw at the beginning of S5), but the cast loved him so much they lobbied to get him a bigger role. It's things like that which makes me like this show even more. Knowing it's not just a TV show with actors in it, they treat each other like they do on the show(in a good way)Last edited by Majingir; 07-31-2018, 05:40 PM.Comment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
Big news on the future of the show.
It's been picked up for a 7th season! So summer 2019 won't be the end!
Great news to hear. I've been watching every episode in the meantime since it's a year long break, and was possibly the last season. Up to the point just after they introduced Garrett.Comment

Re: Marvel: Agents of Shield
Finished rewatching the episode where Hydra and Garrett take over and Ward turns.
Still think that's the best episode of the series. One of my favourite episodes of any show.
The final few minutes were so great. Shield agents escorting Hydra members out, Coulsons team watching each person escorted away. Then Garrett follows, Tripp is mad at him, and Ward plays up his confused and betrayed act and Coulson has to debrief him. All that leads to Ward volunteering to take Garrett to the fridge, then killing Hand on the plane.
Sucks we only got a few episodes of this Hydra. Ward as soon as he turned evil was so good.Comment
