Just briefly skimmed over the list. Once I saw that South Park was on the list I stopped reading. How ridiculous!

I think there are pros and cons to both formats and I don't think one is necessarily easier than the other.
You know what? It just ain't that important.....hehe.

Besides, I think Secretariat was on the juice! :o

        No Sons of Anarchy ?

If I missed it I'm sorry, but most FX originals belong.

I dunno, the fact that Matt Stone and Trey Parker don't even know what the episode is going to be about until less than a week before it airs is pretty impressive to me

Plus how they make fun of basically anything using 4th grade concepts, etc. It may be over the top and ridiculous to most people, but it's probably one of the best written shows on TV right now.

Yes, The Daily Show uses real life events as its "plot"... that doesn't change the fact that the script and jokes still have to be written (not to mention all the "correspondent" bits they do, which in essence are in the same vein as any sketch comedy show... and you haven't noticed, are almost always funny and have launched numerous peoples careers).

If you want proof that it belongs, just think back to when the WGA went on strike and how it effected the show.

                  So a couple of beefs:

                  1) Mad Men is far too high. Love the writing in that show, but it's not the 7th best show of all time as far as writing goes.

                  2) Game of ****ing Thrones?! Really?! Good, sometimes great show, but it's based off a damn book. How is that a best written TV show, unless you are just saying that Martin is awesome and should be given credit for creating awesome books...

                  3) 24 and The Shield should be MUCH higher.

                  Urban Meyer is lol.

Why isn't Dallas on this list? This is just a very odd best of list imo.

I like the Walking Dead and all but do you ever just listen to the dialogue?

I'm irked that 'Scrubs' didn't make the list. I think that's a very consistent, well-written show (aside from the 'final' season).

I'm delighted 'Northern Exposure' made the list...brilliant show.

I'm biased and think all AMC shows are boring, but too many shows that have come out recently that are too high on the list compared to some older shows. Usually always my problem with these lists.

Also no Fresh Prince? Maybe that was just my childhood making it seem better then it may have been, but I still laugh to this day.

Not so sure about the writing...but the Carlton Dance immortalized that show.
