    Headphone questions

    Hi Guys

I have a question that I hope to get some advice from. Right now I am using a old cheap pair of Sony over the ear headphones connected to my surround sound while playing my PS3. Would anybody be able to recommend anything in the $100-125 region that will deliver some good sound? I dont want a headset with a mic as I would never use I just want something where I can hear all the sounds of COD or Battlefield cranked up without having to wake the wife.

    Any suggestions would be great

    Jeremy

It also needs a cord that will stretch about 10 feet to my chair.

    Thanks again guys

    Re: Headphone questions

Wish you had asked on yesterday. The ATH-M50s were $99 shipped.

The ATH-M30s are half priced at $49 though.

I have several pairs of Sennheiser headphones. They are pretty good as well.

        Re: Headphone questions

        I have those (201s), the 202s and 428s

The 201s are super comfortable. If I plan on watching several movies in a row, those are the ones I use. The 428s sound the best but they aren't as comfortable and have a short cable.

The 201s are way overpriced at $50....should be closer to $25. (IIRC, I paid $23 shipped 6 months ago)

If you're looking in the $30-40 range, the M20s might be a good choice.

            Audio technica are great.

I have the Quiet Point ATH-ANC7b noise canceling over ear headphones (for work and travel) and they're great. Probably not as great as the Bose noise canceling, but pretty close for like half the price.

Woah! Why are they so much now? They were $110-$120 for a while.

You talking about the M30s or the M50s? The M50s regular street price is still $159... a couple online places had them around $100 recently.

You can get a headphone extension cable cheap on amazon (less than $7 for up to 25 feet)

The M50s. They were around $120 for at least 3 months on Amazon. Guess I got lucky.
