How Should I Watch The Star Wars Collection?

I just want to start off by saying I haven't seen a Star Wars movie and I just never cared too much for it but the other day someone let me borrow the whole movie collection and I want to know what is the best way to watch it?

Should I start from episode 1 or should I start from the older ones which is episode 4...? What will give me the best understanding and experience..?

I would suggest Episodes IV, V, and VI. That is the way God intended it.

      Pretend the prequels don't exist.

        IV (4), V (5), then VI (6)

Except III, that was a pretty good movie.

I never understood, what was so bad about 1 and 2? I didn't see any of the Star Wars movies until a few weeks before Episode 3 came out in theaters. I watched 4, 5, 6, then 1, 2 and saw Ep 3 at the movies. 1 was a little slow, but 2 was good, and 3 was phenomenal IMO.

I enjoyed the last half of episode 3. I'd say that being exposed to 4, 5, 6, first(remember seeing them in theaters when the "special edition" came out), the hype probably let me down the most. I've seen 3 twice, but haven't been back to 1 and 2.

                  Step one, turn on TV.

Step two, turn on Blu/DVD player.

                  Step 3 Insert Movies

                  Step 4 Profit.

I still haven't seen them, and my friend suggested to watch them like IV, V, II, III, then VI. I posted about that here once before, and people say to just watch them regularly.

                      1-6.
That way you won't be so disapointed in 1-3.

That might sound like a good idea and save the best ones for last...

This might actually be a great idea, may have better impressions of the prequels and more info when going into the best movies.

Oh and when watching the first movie just fast foward through Jar Jar Binks.

That'll keep your sanity intact. Apparently Lucas wanted to make Jar Jar a big part of the prequel trilogy but the backlash after the first movie made him shelve that idea.

Wow, such a rare species you are!

As everyone has said, the 11th commandment is "Thou shall watch the Original Star Wars Trilogy before thou watcheth the Prequel Trilogy." Now if the surprise hasn't been spoiled for you -- which I doubt, because it's simply ingrained in pop culture now -- then I will be even more amazed.
