How do you get on the internet without a browser Windows 7

Friend somehow corrupted/deleted IE and had no other browser. Is there any way to access the internet to download a browser or is a flash drive or mail in CD disk the only options?

You somehow managed to post this, so it seems you have access to a computer. You're going to have to use a flash drive (or a floppy if you are so inclined). This isn't AOL and you aren't getting a disk in the mail.

If you have access to another computer somewhere(like a library or something) you could just go there and download the setup for a browser, put it on a usb, then install it on your own computer.

Since you did post this, you have access to internet...so you should be able to do that.

Or if you have PS3 or something, I THINK you might be able to do the same thing(download the browser and have it saved on the USB which is connected to the PS3) then install it on your computer.

1) Flash drive and another computer

2) Launch Windows Media Player, search for your browser using window media guide, click add and download browser

FTP.


This is how I would do it if I needed to.

Then just browse through the folders on their FTP like you would on your PC. In the pub/firefox/releases folder you'll find every major release version for Firefox.

(this also works great in previous Windows versions)

However you do it, then keep the .exe files in some type of program installs/apps folder in case you run into this again.

Thanks guys, been away from the site for a day. She eventually got someone to do a system restore which corrected the problem.
