I'm sorry, I thought this movie came out months ago and was just about to come out to home video. That's why I was directing that old RT thread, my bad. Came as a bit of a surprise to me.

Why do I have this funny feeling that all of the comedic parts were in the trailer.

That's true of just about 90% of comedy movies these days. It's why when there's a hot new comedy coming out I tend to look at one trailer than bury my head in the sand.

Heard a review of this on the radio and the guys that reviewed it (Schmoes Knows Movies, or something like that) loved it. It looks pretty hilarious to me, hopefully I'll see it soon

I do that, as well as check the run time. If it is 2 hours, I'll wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray and rent it. 90-100 minutes and it looks like my kind of comedy? I'll go check it out.

Looks like The Heat checks in at 117 minutes, so likely a pass from me.

Going to see this tonight, looking forward to it

UPDATE: Saw it and definitely enjoyed it. Bullock's character was a little annoying, but I guess she's supposed to be. McCarthy was gold though, she's becoming one of my favorite comedic actors

This movie is worth it just to see McCarthy. Her character is fantastic.

Also, the trailers don't spoil it. In fact, the trailer clips they show aren't even in the movie, as bizarre as that sounds.
