I'm not a fan of forced debate. I feel like Skip Bayless is trying to force his way into being a "heel". The sad thing is, he's risen his awful persona into quite the career. Also, the next time an inteligent thought comes out of Stephen A's mouth will be the first.

2 or 3 years ago neither one of them had LeBron in their top 5 players. Their obnoxiousness is entertaining but I don't respect either of their opinions, especially skip.Student of the game. #Fundamentals

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
People continue to feed into their stupidity(Bayless/Smith) and I never understand why.
What exactly is entertaining about Screamin' A yelling out "LEBRAWN JAYMES IS DA GREATEST PLAYAH THAT HAS EVAH STEPPED FOOT IN THE NBA AND DON'T YOU PEE-POLE EVAH FORGET THAT!" and Bayless saying stuff like "Aaron Rodgers is the most overrated QB in the NFL because he throws too many TDs passes and not enough Interceptions like the GOAT Brett Favre did"? Serious question BTW because I've never understood how people can be entertained by stuff like that. Is it case of them saying things you don't normally hear anywhere else?#RespectTheCultureComment

Secondly, Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers? Pfft. John Elway is the greatest ever. Deal with it
Thirdly, I find it entertaining when they aren't talking about sports they don't know anything about (anything that's not football or basketball). I enjoy their personalities (the one thing I've taken away from the WWE other than that you gotta smell what the Rock is cookin).Last edited by DukeC; 07-14-2013, 07:24 PM.Comment

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
One of my favorite shows on TV. I find them entertaining and thoughtful. Skip doesn't always play the heel and agrees often with Stephen A on important and goofy topics. Anyways, who cares about those two when you look at Carrie ChampionComment

Yeah, she's fine and you've summed the show up better than I did.Comment

Kinda ironic that we're debating about how much we like or dislike a debate show lolComment

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
Skip is speaking the truth on Dwight right now.
Anyway, I enjoyed the show more when it wasn't all debate. Funny, I came to the realization that they had done away with the other segments after watching it on and off for a month or so.Comment

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
I like drama and arguing. So I like it haha.
I realize that most of what Skip says is wayyyyy out there, and things he says are probably things that he does not actually believe, he just says it to raise controversy.
But I still do enjoy it. It combines two things I like, sports and pointless argument.

ESPN has been shown to do that in the past and I see no reason that they aren't doing it still.Comment

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
And his reasoning makes sense. Hold Chris Paul to the superstar light and you'd see that he isn't a franchise anchor, he will need a star to help. It's always the coach when it comes to CP3. I like him but when you drop the awe factor Skip made sense. Or at leat the episode I caught he did.
Personally I enjoy both and their banter. I love debating when it comes to sports so I'm entertained by the show.#WashedGamerComment

Re: First Take-Skip Bayless & Steven A. Smith
I realize Skip and Steven A's love and hate of the Cowboys is beginning to get hard to take but this is just a programming alert:
Chris Rock will be on the show tomorrow shortly after His disparagement of Big Ben in Baltimore a few days ago.Comment
