It was slow start that only picked up slightly in the final half-hour. Nonetheless I'll still watch it cause

That bad? I was hoping to see if they were showing it tonight but if it was bad then I won't waste my time.
Shame, they were hyping it up like crazy on FX

It's not bad. Matrix just likes his drama at warped speed.

I actually didn't have any problem with the pacing.

I thought the acting was horrendous, especially from Kruger. It feels like her character is supposed to be like Carrie Matheson and it doesn't come CLOSE. Dialogue was cheesy and trite. Opening scene was dumb, and there was a lot of predictability way too soon. Also don't care for the way the plot unfolded and the "purpose"/"reasoning" for the events in the first episode. Can't go too much into that on OS, however.

I think her character is supposed to be very different from Carrie Matheson. Carrie is extremely emotional/obsessive and has bipolar disorder, whereas Sonya has Aspergers and has difficulty showing empathy and difficulty with basic social interactions.

Since I knew the character had Aspergers, it made her character easier for me to watch. I'm not totally sold on the show, but it has a ton of possibly material to work with and some great actors/actresses, so i'll be continuing to watch.

I was expecting more from this show too. I thought Kruger's performance was okay. If you don't pick up that she has Aspergers then her performance is gona seem odd but the show tells you in many subtle ways that she has Aspergers which I liked. It's hard not to compare this to Carrie and Saul's relationship on Homeland. All the gimmick stuff the bad guy does felt stale and cheesy. I might watch another episode but I don't know. I think the Americans is head and shoulders better and is FX's best new show.

I didn't pick up on the Aspergers since I'm not familiar with the symptoms of that.

                  Anybody else watching?

After a deliberately slow paced pilot, this thing has hit some serious dramatic stride, IMHO...

Must See, for me (and my Mom and GF, who are also hooked, it's the only show I can think of that has appealed to all three of us)...

                  Anyone?

Loving it, myself. It's a good show to move to from The Killing. Great acting, interesting characters, and a slow plot carried out over a season (or two?) rather than the murder of the week.

I'm definitely still watching it too, my favorite show on TV right until Breaking Bad comes back. (enjoying The Bridge more than Dexter at the moment)

I agree. Dexter is all over the place right now. I was close to not watching the Bridge any more, but these last two episodes were high quality.

Can somebody help me out with a plot point?

At the end, when the two detectives see the girl (from the earlier B story about wandering off to Mexico), the female cop says "it's you"...

I don't recall them crossing paths...I'm I missing something or have they crossed paths to the viewers knowledge earlier in the plot?

                          Thanks!

She was being bailed out of jail earlier in the episode, so I presume that's where Sonya recognized her from.

That's exactly where Sonya remembers her from.
