I hate to take it further OT, but I prefer SoA over every other drama on television right now including Breaking Bad, which I find to be slightly over rated, but still a really good show.

I try not to get caught up in what's better than what, though. I could go all day with that game. I just try to watch things that entertain me

I guess I just appreciate some things Kurt Sutter does like pushing the boundaries with partial nudity, language, etc. I also find the writing, storytelling, presentation, etc. to be very rewarding. There's such a huge difference in things as simple as camera angles from S1 to now.

I don't know guys.. I didn't mean to rant and rave, I just see a lot of people constantly criticizing the show, which everyone has every right to do. It just makes me wonder, why is everyone still watching if they don't care for so many things the show does ?

I dislike most things about a show like The Big Bang Theory so I don't watch it. What things do you guys actually enjoy about it ?

I guess the last question is really what I'm wanting to know. There's got to be something drawing you to it, considering all the negatives pointed out. Disliking every character and the plot of a TV show would be more than enough for me to stop watching something.. lol.

It's something to watch and the story of a motorcycle gang is intriguing. It's not a bad show in the least and it does what it does very well. Just not much development for me.

Also tough to abandon something you're far along with but depending on what happens in the next few episodes, it might get dropped. Not that what's happening on the show is good or bad, it just isn't leaving me breathless week in, week out like the other two dramas I watch. When it feels like a chore to get through episodes and there's not too much reward (connection to characters like we've discussed before, etc) with what's happening, it's never a good thing.

Good question....honestly there were instances in Season 2, 3 and 5 as well as pretty much all Season 4 that I would put up there with the best shows in television. It goes to great heights alot of the times, particularly when there is a REAL threat to the survival of the group or when there is serious infighting within it.

The stereotypical villians/Gemma and Tara and Jax drama/cheesy moments drag it down alot though. Also I think Clay/Unser/Opie/Juice/Bobby being severely weakened hurt it abit. What made Season 4 so great was there were just so many explosive characters.

Like I said in my last post I do enjoy the show, but it just isn't on par with the other two I mentioned. For me Breaking Bad and Boardwalk are both in my top 3-4 shows of all time, whereas Son's may be in my top 5 active show shows right now. I can certainly still enjoy Son's for what it is though and that's why I keep watching.

Anyway, enough of the off topic stuff - Regarding the last episode I actually liked it more than most it seems. I've been wanting to see Navarro's character "bite it" for a long time and the way he and his girlfriend died will likely drive a wedge between Jax and Niro. It was also good to see Jax go full on Clay with making the call to whack the girl.

The thing I'm most interested in currently is where there going with Tara. If she rats and ends up with little to no repercussions, then it's going to be classic SoA spinning their wheels. However, if she ends up being killed (especially if it's by Jax) or at the least exiled, then at least there will be some payoff. Only time will tell, but that's definitely one situation that can define the season of Son's for me. I'll be watching with bated breath.

Season 7 is the last season, correct?

If so, I don't think we have to worry about them spinning their wheels. Well at least I hope not.

Jimmy Smits had the most obvious suspicious eyes I have ever seen.

I echo what a lot of you guys think of the show. It basically feels like a gang soap opera similar to True Blood's level of storytelling to me.

The show is just very raw, exciting and entertaining. I also like the boundaries it pushes, and am somewhat surprised that a lot of members dislike a lot of the characters. I will say that Jax seems to have shed some of his ethics since Opie's death, and the most moral person on the show has become Nero (Smits).

I'd like to see more of Peter Weller's character. That's just a hard looking dude who is perfect as a crime boss.

Definitely. It might just be the one that saves the show for me as I was about ready to tune it out.
