The fifth film has been announced and I believe is in production, but it is rumored to possibly have a delayed release date for January 2014 instead of this fall (EDIT: The Marked Ones released January 2014, and PA5 releases October 2014).
That's all as far as information goes. Will update OP when more information becomes available, starting with the release date.
Was admittedly not a fan of the fourth one (I rank them 3-1-2-4), but it won't let me down with the series. I do think they need to wrap it up very, very soon though. I'll give them two more movies, and any other spin-offs in foreign countries. After that, I might be burned out for theatrical runs. I know plenty already are, and were after the first film (or the first spoof).
EDIT: With The Marked Ones actually being a US release, I re-rank this as 3-1-M-2-4. The Marked Ones went for different kinds of scares that just didn't work for me, but I was still thoroughly entertained with the film and think they've done a lot to open the doors differently for PA5.
