My thought was that he was making sure the police knew that Skylar was aware and involved in what he did.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Breaking Bad: The Final 8 - (premieres 8/11/13)
He was doing exactly the opposite of that. He KNEW the cops were there listening and implicated himself and got her off the hook. That phone call saved her *** is what it did.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad: The Final 8 - (premieres 8/11/13)
SpoilerExactly the opposite. He knew the police were on the line, and was intentionally extra-evil in the way he spoke and berated her. With Hank and Gomez missing (dead) and Skyler and Jr. refusing to go with Walt to disappear, he took it on himself to make sure Skyler was cleared from being an accomplice. Hence, with the police listening (like he knew they were), Walt threatened her and spewed venom at her to make it seem like it was just him all along, and she was essentially a hostage to it all the whole time.Comment

Great episode. It certainly lived up to the hype imo.
btw, was that a Dante's inferno reference?
SpoilerI wonder if Walt pushing the barrel through the desert was inspired by Dante's inferno and pushing the wheel in hell?Comment

Ok that makes more sense. I knew he realized the police were there, just didn't totally get the motivation.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Holy ****! Man how am I supposed to go to bed now? My heart is racing.
This show is just on a whole different level and is some damn great television. After the next two episodes are over I'm seriously going to re-watch it all again soon after.
Sorry all other past, present, and future shows but you got nothing on this show.Last edited by SidVish; 09-15-2013, 11:11 PM."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Spoilerthere's a similarity to Ozymandias in Watchmen. He does everything he does for the sake of uniting the world against a common enemy.
When he was telling Jesse about Jane it felt like it dropped 20 degrees, that was damn cold.Comment
