Minor nitpick, but he's driving 4000 miles a month to help out some half dead wanted felon? If his motivation is money, why not just off Walt, bury him in the mountains and take the barrel of cash?

Simply because he is probably not a killer. A criminal, yes, but lilely just not a killer.

I don't know a lot of people in his position would turn down $50K a month to spend about one out of every four or five on the road.

Still don't understand why[spoiler]people are clinging to the idea that Walt is going to exact revenge on Gretchen and Elliot. He achieves nothing by killing them. It's simply a waste of time. He left them, when he had the option to stay. They didn't "screw him over". This is similar to the notion (that gets repeated ad nauseum), that Walt got into making meth because he had to provide for his family. Rubbish. He did it out of pride and to feed his ego. Gretchen and Elliot were willing to pay for his treatment, but he refused.

Neither of those things get repeated because they are true, but because they are what Walt believes, or at least what Walt tells himself to rationalize his behavior.

But I agree, I don't think he's going after them. If he was going to do it, he would have done it already.

I'm starting to think it'll be Todd that kills Walt. Then Jesse kills Todd. There was talk of a spin-off so maybe Todd takes them both out somehow and there's your spin-off.

You can sheer a sheep hundreds of times, but you can only skin him once.

Walt only has a finite amount of money. In a barrel. In that house. The cleaner is advising him against getting the rest of his money back, so it's not like Walt will suddenly have an influx of new cash to pay him.

The more realistic answer is that he has to launder this money, and as Skyler pointed out, it is much easier to launder $50,000 at a time than millions.

Loved this episode, it set up everything for the finale. Todd is like a more ruthless Heisenberg, he just does what needs to be done, and doesnt feel remorse. I really thought Jesse was going to escape, didnt see him getting caught, let alone what happened after. Walt/Heisenberg at the cabin and bar(especially at the bar) was awesome, that Gray Matter interview woke him up in a bad way.

About the barrels, really never thought about it until last episode, but were those the same type of barrels used with hydrochloric acid?

Emotionally, the toughest part for Gould was the murder of recurring character Andrea (Emily Rios) and the effect it had on the increasingly tortured Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

Loved that episode and can't wait for the finale. As for some of the predictions...

How would he even get into a situation where he could get the ricin to Gretchen and Elliott with any degree of certainty that it would get the job done. I'm inclined to believe that it was more of a vehicle to motivate him. Kind of the parallel to his current situation and others feasting on his success. Who knows though, I have faith Gilligan and co will end this thing properly regardless.

The scene with Gretchen and Elliot on Charlie Rose disowning/belittling Walt and Walt's reaction to that had me rolling ala the fake confession.
