Point was that if a recently released box set can be as much as $400 (and I'm of course talking about the set with all the stuff; just the episodes can be gotten for $130 which makes it quite a bit less than what HIMYM will be), it shouldn't be that shocking if this was as much as $200.

1 week later...I feel less mad,but still somewhat mad at finale,but I've basically just given up on caring lol.

Like I said before, feeling of the show being completely done won't entirely sink in until September(at least for me). Cause right now it just feels like an early season finale. In September when HIMYM isn't premiering along with all other shows, then it'll really feel like show is done.

Ya, one of the reasons to rewatch shows after they end, cause it has whole new meaning watching after you know the ending so you'll be viewing moments so much different than you ever had before.

I might rewatch HIMYM again one day, but not until September at earliest(all just depends on what the new shows are like)

The alternate ending version of the finale has been leaked. As someone who wasn't a fan of the real finale, I did like this one better.

I just skimmed through it. Minus the ending(which is basically the exact same ending as the fan made one on youtube a few months ago), what else was diff about it? By the looks of it, all storylines stayed the exact same,only diff is that they didn't kill the mother.

Such a good ending that way. Until this post was bumped up, I'd forgotten just how annoying the TV ending was. What a dumb way to screw viewers.

I was actually just watching a few episodes of Season 4 yesterday and found something else that bothers me about the original ending.

In "Shelter Island" when Ted is about to marry Stella, Robin gives this big speech that she doesn't think Stella is "The One" and that this shouldn't be the way Ted's great big love story ends, sliding into a situation with a previously divorced woman who already has a kid and whatnot. It made me think back to the ending and think how the creators themselves took Ted's great ending away from him by originally killing the mother off.

As for that alternate ending, I don't plan on watching it until I get a hold of the last season myself and watch from the beginning.

Mother didn't die. He explained how they met by the train talking about the umbrella. Cut to a montage of them being together for many occasions throughout their past. Then he said "and that kids, is how I met your mother".
