This will be the first show that I watched from start to finish. I missed a couple of episodes live because of the Navy but I would say that I watched at least 80% of the episodes live on Mondays. It has been a great run and I am looking forward to how they end it.

I had never seen the show before this summer but it popped up as a suggestion on Netflix so I said what the heck. Watched the entire series (Seasons 1 through 8) in about a month. Can't wait for Season 9.

Finished what took a number of months for me to go through every episode from start to finish, and now I remember how season 8 ended again lol.

First episode of season 9 is gonna be huge. Lots of things prob gonna happen.

Ted is still planning on moving to Chicago(and has the locket still)
Marshall didn't tell Lily yet that he's gonna be a judge(in new york)
The mother is on her way to the wedding

How could you forget how Season 8 ended, lol.

The last 3 minutes of Season 8 are the best 3 minutes of the entire series, and not necessarily just because the mother is revealed. Starting with the "Ted, be careful." The way it was shot, the music they chose, the feeling that everything is being built up for this wedding. The way Marshall's brother called him "Your Honor" to show that he accepted the judge position. The fact that it couldn't have been anyone else but Ranjit to drive Barney and Robin. The way that Lily asked Ted how he'd get back and he stops for a while and says "I think I'll take the train." There was a sense that this whole thing was like, the temporal junction point for the lives of everyone in the show. And they portrayed it perfectly, with the shots of the characters driving/getting to where they were going including the Mother walking in the train station only showing her boots then the yellow umbrella.

It was absolute perfection on screen.

I didn't mean like I forgot they had the mother and everything in it, I meant it in the whole "It's been 4 months since I saw that scene so I don't remember every detail" type of thing.

Tonight's the big night!

I just saw the last episode of season 8 on Saturday. Those commercials on CBS all day yesterday as well as the sketch during the Emmy's got me pumped up.
