HIMYM seemed to get in some trouble for the episode(so much that the producers actually had to respond/apologize) People complaining about them being racist for this past episode.

Seriously...Society sucks today. You'll have someone complaining about something all the time, and people go to extremes to get their message heard. People think just because things like twitter exist, it means that their voice is so important and that anything they say will be taken seriously.

Sad thing is that if a large enough amount of people join in,it'll work.

Television today sucks for that same reason. Trying to tone things down and be less edgy because they want to avoid all the complaints they might get for edgy stuff,and the advertisers won't want to advertise on shows like that. Even though as recent as 10-15 years ago all of this was perfectly fine.

They didn't get in trouble because they were racist. They got in trouble because it was a bad episode. I'm in the "It feels like they're just killing time (and cashing in)" group now.

They should just cancel the **** out of the show now, just yank the plug, and ban the writers from ever making another TV show.

This show has degenerated into a disgrace, and I legitimately can't wait for it to be gone.

I never said anything about FCC, just said that HIMYM got in trouble(not legal trouble or anything,just awhole bunch of fans and media bashing them for it which caused the producers to come out and basically apologize).

Being criticized and getting in "trouble" are two completely separate things.

You seriously dont get how people of asian decent could be offended by an episode where white actors play asian roles and are dressed as stereotypical asian characters?

I'm not Asian so I wasnt directly offended but when I saw Robin appear in the first scene, I thought to myself "This is close to crossing the line".

I was more offended that it was a **** episode that wasnt funny and wasted 22 minutes of my life but I can completely understand why some people would find it offensive.

I always wondered how they'd go about filming the final scene of the show.

Thinking about it though, is there really anything people are looking forward to from now until the finale with the exception of really finding out how Ted did meet the mother? No other story really left to finish next to Barney-Robin getting married(but even then,all the stuff before the wedding involving them really hasn't been funny). Marshall-Lily stuff about Marshall becoming a judge dragged on way too long.

Sorta glad it is ending in March now. So the show can be done with much sooner instead of waiting 4 months to find out the ending and having it feel like ages of fillers.

Honestly I wish it ended last season, it could have been so much more compact and better quality instead of episodes like the last one.

I saw it as a Kung Fu parody (like a lot of movies do), not racism.

The episode had a few laughs but just was completely throwaway....not on my top list at all.

Much better episode this week. I'm also glad there was a call back to Lily going to SF in season 2. I always thought she was a douchebag for doing that back then and I think most people would have a problem with letting that go.
