      Re: The Flash

      Season "finale" tonight.

Will be interesting to see how this one is done given they had to cut the season a few episodes short, and the final few episodes of the season obviously are some of its biggest. They'll have to ene this on a cliffhanger I'd imagine, which is a unique change.

I could see it ending with Barry finally seeing Iris in the mirror world and about to save her, but something happens and the season ends without them saving her and now have to come up with a new way to do so.

But with no tapings for who knows how long, I wonder if the season even resumes in October. Could be at least half a year of a cliffhanger.

CW announces no new episodes until January.

This will be such a long break. Maybe time to rewatch old seasons in the meantime?

I stopped watching a little into season 4. Is it worth it to finish it up?

S4 is the worst of all the seasons, so at least you know it gets better.

But imo 1-2 were the top seasons.

Wow that is cray has we already lost like 2-3 episodes this season and that would be like almost half way into next season.

Next season is extended though. July or August is the finale date, so we won't really be missing much.

As for this season finale, it obviously didnt feel like one. It felt like the episode it was filmed as, episode 19, with 2 or 3 more episodes before the end.

I stopped watching after episode #17 (of 22) of season 5. The villain was terrible and despite my fondness for a new character I just got worn out. I thought season 3 with Savitar was the worst. I felt bad about not continuing because I had invested a lot but it became too much like work to watch. I think I had mentioned this in a post but the season long arcs that always resulted in the main bad guy issue being resolved in the FINAL episode seemed forced and the result of lazy writing. The grim Savitar season (#3) and the one that I almost finished (#5) were the Worst.

I would tell you that I'm suffering from superhero fatigue because I dropped out of Supergirl and Arrow after several seasons but the truth is it was a gradual grinding down and the villains didn't help either.

Season 1 i think is easily the best 2 is the second best. After those 2 seasons i fell like the show has its ups and downs. Season 4 i thought started of great and the villain was good at the start but after like the mid season the villain and the season go down hill and when you find out like is plain its really lame. 3 i thought had some really good moments but also some really low moments. Season 5 i think is easily better then 3 and 4. Season 5 i thought was really good over all but i didn't care for the villain like at all but ever thing else was great. Season 6 just felt odd.

Supergirl the past 3 seasons have actually been good. Main story wise at least. Their weakness is the supporting cast.

Of all 4 shows, Supergirl was probably the 2nd best this season (harder to put Arrow not at 1 since it was a season like series finale).

Legends has declined and changed so much to the point where it's not even the same show it was the first 2 seasons, and that's what hooked me on the show.

But I'm feeling the same way. Once Avengers ended, Arrow ended and now Shield is ending soon, my interest in the remaining shows isnt so high.

We disagree. The Agent Liberty story-line in season 4 was just downright boring (IMHO). I hated that guy as Doomsday in Smallville too.I forgot how far I got in season 4. I'm still open to watching other CW superhero series, but despite some bumps along the way Smallville is still my favorite although it could have been done in fewer episodes and ended with a slimmer Tom Welling.

                            I understand. It's a long road and there's a lot of series.

Another problem with Supergirl was too much preaching.

                            Nobody watches Batwoman?

We watched this show up until season 4 I think...it just lost steam, IMO, and didn't know what it wanted to do. First couple of seasons were great, but it is frustrating when you watch a show, get invested in characters, and then they wipe all of that out (the couple of resets they did).

                                Major news just coming out.

Hartley Sawyer (Ralph) has been fired from The Flash after some very controversial comments surfaced online of his.

Wonder how they continue without him short term at least since this current season ended on a cliffhanger and will really finish up to start next season, but he's been a fairly big part of this current season with Sue, and obviously Frost.

I could see them flat out killing his character off.

Either way, CW has been taking major hits this year. Arrow ended, Batwoman lead actress left, and now a main character on The Flash is fired.

I was also reading that Supergirl could end after next year.

Arrowverse seems like it'll die a quick death.
