Pedro Pascal was so great in that scene, pointing his spear at Tywin while screaming "Who gave the order!". For show-only people, did Oberyn's hate/obsession for The Mountain throughout the season come across well? Were you aware of how much he hated The Mountain and how badly he wanted revenge the first seven episodes? I felt like in the book it was much more clearly defined.

Good to see Sansa finally growing a pair and not being a dainty princess. That was a long time coming.

It's crazy that we have the Dreadfort crew marching to Winterfell (happens mid-to-late Book 5) while we still have huge things from Book 3 that we haven't seen yet in the show.

As for someone who hasn't read the book (just started reading GoT), I could definitely tell that Oberyn was hell bent on getting revenge for his sister's rape/murder. At first it came across as just an immense hatred for the Lannisters, but as the episodes went on I could tell that it was more directed at the Mountain for actually doing it than at Tywin & Co.

I'm curious to see what they do with Sansa/Petyr since they're going away from the books. Not that I really know what happens with them in the books anyways, lol. I agree though, Sansa doing something worthwhile was long overdue. It's nice to actually look forward to Sansa scenes than dread them every episode.

Lost in the fight was the hound and Arya finally getting to the Eyrie. When she just started cracking up it made me laugh as it caught me totally off guard.

I loved this part. Probably my favorite of what was such a great episode. The Hound and Arya had two completely different reactions to the news of the death.

This is just a random thought.. I'd like to see more of King Tommen in the show. Does he play more of a role in the books?

In the books he is only a boy of 9 when he come to the throne. He is manipulated by everyone because of his younger age. He signs stack of papers put infront of him, difies his mother because Margery coerces to, then is made to feel bad, when his mother punishes his whipping boy for his actions. His role is the books to this point is greatly reduced.

The fact that they choose to make him older could be to include him more in the following seasons, as no one really knows what they are going to do as far a getting ahead of the books with the show.

There's quite a bit of stuff in Book 4 (A Feast for Crows) and Book 5 (A Dance with Dragons) that's already been covered in the show.

I'd just start reading the series and plow on through.

1) There are enough differences between the book and show and things don't run concurrently so there isn't a good stopping point.
2) Good luck stopping once you've started.

I haven't read the books so I don't know how things end up, but am I the only one that feels out of all the characters, Tyrion is the safest to survive?

His death might be the one thing that would end my love with this show, haha.
