    I haven't seen anything about a writer.

But I agree. In the comics they really develop characters and get you to really like or really hate certain characters. Whereas in the show some people they just bring in and tread water with for the whole time, then kill them.

Maybe this is just me but it's annoying that they have completely gotten away from the point of the show. Zombies. This show was at its best when they were a major part. Now it feels like they're a 4th option

Well, if they made every episode primarily about killing zombies the show would get cancelled fairly quick in my opinion. They have to add the human/human drama to suck you in.

I do agree we still need to have episodes that focus primarily in a big fight against a herd or something like that.

They're much more of a factor these past 2 episodes than in previous seasons IMO. No one batted an eye at them the past 2 seasons unless a giant horde was attacking. Now that everyone is split, even 2 or 3 zombies seems like a struggle for them again. To me it seems like they are reintroducing them as a threat.

Besides that point, zombies were never the main point of the show.

I don't get your complaint... I mean wasn't there a **** load of Zombies in this past episode?

Personally, I love the show, but I get the complaints about the acting. I get the complaints about the lack of depth for the characters, as well as some of the plot holes. But I'll never get the complaints about MOAR ZOMBIES!!!!!!

Honestly, how many Zombie kills do we need to see? Almost every episode since the finale of Season 2 has had plenty of Zombies. Heck, they should have taken out half of those kills and spend that time developing characters instead.

Where I am at in the book is about where we are in the show, I'm a little ahead, but in the book there's not a lot of zombie killing going on either. There's a lot of developing between Rick and the new characters and what the entire group is going to do now that they have no prison to call home.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

People were losing their minds during all the character development in season 2 and called it boring. Now we're upset that its lacking.

Anyway I just saw the episode and I like episodes that don't contain Rick and Carl. From the preview it looks like the gang eventually meets back up but i was really hoping they would split the story for much longer and go for a HBO like multiple plot show. I really enjoyed this one.

I get the complaints about adding characters and never going too deep into them before they are killed off. I feel like it actually sets the tone a little bit. Some people will die before you ever get to know them in that setting.

Anyway, does anybody else get reminded of the star actress from Pan's Labyrinth when they see the chick Glenn was with? Everytime shes on screen I get flashbacks to that girl from that movie. They look so similar.

Oh and LOL at the ending. I didnt see that coming. I forgot those characters were gonna show up from the comic. And it was a little corny lol.

I want to know who complained about Season 2! My opinion, that was the best of the 4 seasons by far.

To an extent yes, it makes sense with arbitrary characters, but when you have key pieces to the story that have been there since Season 1 who have gone undeveloped, it is kind of frustrating.

Finally got caught up and was able to watch the episode last night. I enjoyed it, didn't expect to see Tyrese holding Judith and now I know the significance of the train tracks from the poster.

I'm still debating whether or not to read the comics so I know nothing about the new characters. I know they deviate quite a bit in the show but still worried I'd spoil something in the show.

                              The Walking Dead (Season 4)

So what's everyone thinking about tomorrow night episode?

We know where everyone is now. We just got introduced to some new characters. It appears they're going to focus this next episode on Glen/Tara with those new people.

From the previews, it seems Glen is going to be doing some tasks for them, I guess as payback for being helped out by them? He didnt look too thrilled. That's what I gathered from it. Now that I think about it, the ending to last episode was pretty abrupt. I honestly don't remember exactly what happened; Glen and Tara are there, zombies attack, and then the new characters show up to rescue them? Were they even in trouble like that? I should probably catch the rerun before watching the new episode...
