    Creative Writing

Does anyone in here enjoy creative writing? I took a class my senior year (2002), but have always enjoyed it. Have written a few short stories I guess you'd call them. I am currently working on a zombie apocalypse book that has been a blast to write.

EDIT: Feel free to post short stories and teasers or samples in a spoiler tag for constructive criticisms and to share!

I enjoy it, but never really have much time for it.

I started writing a mystery novel in college years ago, but never finished it.

Yes, I am writing a mafia story that takes place in 1950's New York that places a father against his son. The father is a mafia boss, and the son is an NYPD cop who was sent to the police force by his father in order to help the family from the inside. Certain things happen, and whats on the inside of "Tommy", the main character and son, may be different than what the father expects.

Im 20,000 words in, and really haven't scratched the surface with it. I try to write 1500 words per sitting, but with my job, a newborn, etc it gets hard to really sit down and write, but I intend on finishing it.

            I'll do that.

I used to have an idea for a Mafia book where a son joined and in his first task from the mafia boss is to kill his father. Obviously he wouldn't do it, then he'd have to battle the mafia

I like writing sequels to already existing things.

I wrote a Saw VII screenplay. Took me three days to write after Saw VI came out (spent 30+ hours writing it though lol). I still think it's better than the current Saw VII, but that's not that difficult to do.

I'd love to do some writing, whether it may be creative or a blog. I love writing but I just can't find my niche.

You know, I have always had this fantasy to write a book continuing the story of LOST, like what transpired after Hurley takes over the Island. Thoughts include a Mr. Clucks built on the island, Hurleys parents coming to visit, Ben falling in love and having a romantic relationship. Without the man in black though, it tough to come up with solid "issues" that need to be dealt with in the tradition of LOST

I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind turning this thread into a place where we can dump our short stories (or a sample) in a spoiler and get it critiqued? Because that is what I'm certainly going to do
