Took 9 years,but people will finally find out how Ted meets the mother! Season premieres September 23(at usual 8pmEST timeslot) and it'll be 2 episodes on 1 day.
By the looks of it, May 12th or May 19th will probably be the series finale.
Are people happy the show is finally ending(cause it took 9 years to tell the story of how he met the mother), or sad? It'll be crazy to see CBS without HIMYM, and tv in general without a show like this. People often said HIMYM is sorta like Friends(there are a fair amount of similarities), and seeing how Friends started in early 90s,and HIMYM premiered 4 months after Friends ended, I wonder if we'll get a show in 2014 that'll be along same lines as these two shows.
Speaking of Friends, anyone think HIMYM will get a sendoff anywhere close to what Friends got, or did Friends get a sendoff that no other show today could ever get(the cast appeared on every major talk show imaginable, there were multiple episodes that just looked back on the entire 10 years of the show and other stuff). I wouldn't mind something similar for HIMYM, having an episode that just goes behind the scenes and looks back at the 9 years of the show.
