    Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I checked out both Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Dads out last night. Brooklyn Nine-Nine has potential, Dads on the other had wasn't funny at all and relied on cheap jokes involving racial stereotypes.

Will give this one a few more weeks. Andy Samberg can be hit or miss with me, but found him to be okay here.

And now I've finished it. I really liked it. There's a lot of potential in this one.

It's stronger than Parks was out of the gate.

I liked it. I hesitate to judge a comedy series based on a pilot. Here are some of my favorite comedies of the last ten years:

        The Office
        Parks and Rec
        Community
        Modern Family
        Its Always Sunny
        The League
        New Girl

All of them except MF had horrible to average pilots. Comedies take time to grow.

Most of those took the first season to mature I'd argue as well...

We're going to watch this tonight and I'll comment then. Looking forward to it.

Thought it was decent. Definitely has potential. Love the cast. Definitely want to see more Terry Crews in the future.

The previews definitely drew me in. Didn't catch the pilot but hopefully it builds up. I'm not a harsh entertainment critic anyway so it'll probably get some laughs out of me.

It was only ok for me....there may have been one or two scenes that made me chuckle. Will give it at least another shot but for me I think they have the detective acting way to goofy. I understand it's comedy but he is just to over the top.

I thought it was funny, but I like a lot of the actors and the humor is right up my alley.

I bet they dial it in really nice over a season. IMO it's definitely worth giving a season to grow.

                    Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Was looking forward to this and dads. I thought Brooklyn nine nine was bad, dads was a train wreck. Brooklyn nine nine was just way too forced. There were some really funny moments but overall it felt awkward and didn't really flow at all. I'll probably give it another two shows but I wasn't impressed with the pilot. Dads on the other hand had zero entertainment value and its funny the ad for this week was all about them making it to a second episode. Watch the first one and you will see why this was an obvious marketing strategy to them. I have seen Seth Green do some flops before but was expecting more from Ribisi.

I was really looking forward to 9-9 but after 2 episodes i think i am done!
Its just not that funny and frankly most of the characters get on my nerves. Really disappoined in Sandberg, i thought he would be alot funnier.

How does it get less funny, it come over when something funny is on and stand in front of the TV?

Well, I like the show, a lot. I thought both episodes were funny.

As for Dads, well I've been moving away from traditional sitcoms for a while. That said, I still thought there were some funny moments in the one episode I saw. I don't think it's something I'll be looking forward to every week, but if it's on, I probably wouldn't be in a big hurry to change the channel like I am with other shows.
