    Hostages

Did anyone watch this show on CBS Monday night? When I saw the previews I was hooked. I can't wait to see what happens in the next few episodes. Very cool idea for a show in my opinion.

    Anyone watch it?

Haven't watched it yet but the preview looked good. Is it meant to be a multi season show?

I've yet to watch it myself. From the previews it looks really good but the concept seems as if it could be done in a 2 hour movie and not a series. We'll see.

I'm not sure, but that's part of the reason it interests me. Obviously what they want the person to do will take several episodes, and maybe lead to more demands.

I was very entertained and can't wait to see it next week.

I'm mixed on it. Better than I thought it would be, but at the same, this type of story works better in movies. In movies, there is usually a conclusion. Seems like could go the way of prison break where they'll get what they want... then what? I'm not going to go too much into the first episode since I'm not sure who all has seen it, but I wonder about the payoff of it all. Will it go by the wayside or actually come into play later?

Right, that's what I don't yet get about it.

Most shows either go one of two directions: case-by-case per episode, or the full season as one long episode. I think this is more of the latter, and I wonder how fun it will be after some time.

Liked the first episode, and besides the wife the cast seems fine. For now it's easy to be hooked, but I wonder what it will be like after ten episodes. I feel like it will just hit a bunch of twists and turns.

Watched it last night. Much better than I expected it to be. Looking forward to next week.

                Re: Hostages

Dropped it after the first episode. If this was a case by case type of show, this works. A season with this generic and pointless family is not good. It's even worse when the twist has been pretty well telegraphed.

This is a sting, and the FBI agents in the house are merely going through to convince the real target that the assassination is taking place. The family is not actually in danger, but they need to make them feel that way. Whatever is in the vile would not kill the president.

Had this been a two hour pilot that concludes, I'd be interested in watching the team take down other hostage situations using creative and extreme measures. As one season on one case, the writing is not even close to good enough to get me to care.

For those of us who want to watch it, we don't like reading other people's predictions since we're not trying to make any on our own. I would appreciate it if you spoiler-tagged it, because I know how good you'll want to feel if you're right that you just had to post what you think might happen (and by all means it might, which would piss me off because now that's all I'm going to think about).

                  I'd appreciate that.

Given the pace of this thread, i don't think you have anything to worry about Blzer, but to appease you. This isn't a spoiler, but since people are afraid to know what already happened...

I'm still in there because I just want to see how bad it's going to get. Truly awful TV. Awesome, awful TV. The actors/actresses started mailing it in 3 episodes ago and the storyline gets more and more ridiculous by the second.

Still watching it. The acting is dreadful. The cinematography is worse. However, Truth and Consequences and The Good Reason were fairly strong episodes.

I'm wanting to see how this ends at the very least. No reason to quit.

This show has been a bit of a struggle for me. I have the past month saved up on my dvr, but my girlfriend and I just can't bring ourselves to watch it.

It really says something about how bad the show is, because her artwork is all over it. Almost all the art you see from the daughter is from her, and almost all the family photos in the hallways are of her family.

We were watching it like a chore, but just couldn't do it anymore. They just need to keep the daughter around, that is all I ask. Maybe even make her art the thing that ends up resolving the entire plot. Is that asking too much?

I was super into this show. Now, I almost always fall asleep and miss the end. Then I debate on watching the end again, and instead just delete it.

Didn't even know it was still on. They dropped all advertising it seems since I watch CBS on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and I haven't seen a commercial in weeks.
