That's terrible. Street Hassle was one of my favorite tunes of all time.

A short Lou Reed story for everyone. I went to see him in concert about five years ago in Chicago, with a couple friends and my brother. He was about half an hour late on stage, and people started getting all pissed and wondering what the heck was going on. Someone said "what the hell is going on here, it's been half an hour!?" and then some guy that must have been well into his 60's with some sun glasses on turned around and said "he can do whatever the **** he wants, he's ****ing Lou Reed."

Fifteen minutes later, the old man with the sun glasses is on stage and starts playing "Walk On The Wild Side". Why Lou Reed was meandering around in the crowd before he went on stage, I'll never know. But it was awesome.

Haven't heard any of his music but I know how influential he was in his area.

I know you would have had to hear "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" even by accident.

I'm sure you meant to speak English there!

Not the greatest singer, but that song put him on the map. I'm sure it had to be edited for main stream radio back then. I really have no idea what else he did.

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I found out last night at a concert during the opening act. Karen Ellis ended her set with a cover of Vicious.
