Fiending for heroin never sounded so good.

    RIP
My favorite Lou Reed/Velvet Underground song, thats the song that got me into Lou and Velvet. IMO Lou was as good of a storyteller in song as Dylan.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

      Re: RIP Lou Reed

The Velvet Underground has long been recognized as a major musical inspiration for punk art and rock, as reflected in a quote often attributed to musician Brian Eno: "The first Velvet Underground album only sold 10,000 copies, but everyone who bought it formed a band."

The quote above is pretty much all you need to know about Lou Reed / Velvet Undergound...

Punk / New Wave / Art Rock and ALL it's decedents owe more then a bit of gratitude to the man (and the band) that stuck out like a middle finger during the "Summer of Love" and beyond...

      RIP, Mr. Reed
