Just do a Gambit movie with Taylor Kitsch.

I think they're trying to move as far away as possible from the two ****tiest X-Men movies (X-3 and the first Wolverine). Not to mention this is post-John Carter, so I don't think that's happening.

Eh, i'm not too enthralled over a Gambit movie unless they do it as almost a romantic action comedy with him and Rogue.

He has/had his own comic recently and is part of All-New X-Factor now so there's a push to keep him at least relevant.

I wasn't born when the "Days of Future Past" story was written in 1980 (Born '81), but I recently bought the trade. Having read the story now and from what I've seen of the movie previews, it seems like a very vague adaptation of the comic.


In the comic Wolverine does not travel to the past, Kitty Pryde does. Wolverine's future self is trying to infiltrate the Baxter Building to overthrow the Sentinels main computers, while Wolverine's present self battles the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants lead by Mystique as they try to kill Senator Kelly.


Kitty Pryde's future self switches minds with her present day self IOT save Senator Kelly from the assassination that leads to the sentinels taking over the future.


The comic story is all about Kitty Pryde's coming of age as a member of the team, which I would've rather seen the movie be about, but it appears Fox thinks the viewership will only want to see Wolverine/Hugh Jackman be the main protagonist?


I am still interested in the movie though.

Yeah, I think the Wolverine protagonist angle was done for "box office" purposes. I really hope this is Jackman's last turn in the role. He's been fun, but damn I was burnt out on him by the end of X-2.

The fact fox loves Wolverine so much is the only drawback I have for most of the X-Men movies.


Also butchering the Dark Phoenix saga in the movie that shall not be named.

Im friggin sure somehow they'll have him kill Apocalypse someway too in that movie.
