Recently I've been getting Adobe Flash player update notices (via Chrome browser) and it's been taking me to a site that certainly looks like the correct one, but it's been giving me an .exe file for download. I've never activated the exe file as this seemed strange. When I updated via Explorer it does so the conventional way. Is this download on the up and up?

If you're ever unsure, go to the actual site on the browser you want updated.

That's the other odd thing. Chrome has Flash integrated and updates on its own. Maybe I have some type of malware.Comment

Is there certain sites you get the notice on? It's possible the sites just aren't developed well for Chrome and are looking for the Flash plugin for IE.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

The flash update is an .exe. I just had one earlier. Correct version as on the Flash website.Comment
