    The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

    Premiers tonight! Currently has a 95% of RT with 97 reviews (the first one finished with an 84%). I finished the final two books a couple months ago. I haven't read many reviews so I am not sure what to expect when it comes to matching up with the book.

      We never go see a movie during it's opening weekend. Our plan is to go when we get off work next Wednesday. We always get off around noonish the day before Thanksgiving. The theaters should be empty. I can't wait.

        I used not to until my theater opened a 21+ only section with assigned seats. Now I can show up right at movie time and don't have to suffer through too much extra noise.

          Oh man, I wish we had that here. The 21+ is awesome. Especially, for me and my wife since we don't have kids. I'll never forget going to see The Hills Have Eyes and having a toddler sitting in front of us.

          The assigned seats is great too. Even if we did I'm sure I would get there and someone else would already be sitting in my seat. Just like every-time I fly or go to a basketball game.

            I'm shooting for the earliest Saturday showing. It's supposed to be in the high 30s with a chance of rain around Dallas on Saturday morning so I hope the early time and weather will keep it from being packed. The best my theater gets is a 6pm curfew for 16 and under if you are not with a parent.

                The reviews are stellar, particularly the comments on Lawrence's performance.

                  There were many things I disliked about the first film but I still really liked the book series and I think this one will do a better job of covering it's bases.

                  Looking forward to watching it sometime soon.

                    I'm just hoping the battle scenes aren't so jumpy. It didn't make me sick or anything, but I would rather them take the time to make it a realistic fight and not have to cover it up with camera shake. I would have been hyped if this had over 60% on the RT meter since it's a sequel. Of course I am still expecting major items to be left out so my hype meter isn't any higher. I'm thinking now I might take a really long lunch on Friday and go see it...

                        I'm looking forward to seeing this, but not this weekend. It will be too crowded and I have too much work to do, unfortunately.

                          Hated the first movie, but I'm excited to catch this one at some point. Looks (and sounds) better.

                          Plus, I haven't just finished the book, therefore I should enjoy it.

                            Saw it last night. As usual tons of the book cut out but it's a movie. Katniss is hot. Movie was good but middle movies are always lacking to me because I have to wait for the third but it was good. Can't wait to see what they do next.

                            Joanna = hilarious.

                              Saw it last night, and came away extremely impressed. The cast did such better work this time around -- though, it helps to have people like Phillip Seymour Hoffman on board. The script was tighter, and the camerawork was superb. All in all, two and a half hours passed by and I didn't want it to end. Definitely in my top five films of the year.

                              PS: I'm hoping F. Lawrence sticks with the series. The film had a really nice flow to it, and he seemed to capture the allegories that Collins so desperately tried to connect in the series and fell short of.
