A soundbar + sub will be better than your tv speakers. On Black Friday, best buy and HH Gregg will have a Samsung soundbar + sub combo for $169.

Walmart will be having a Sony soundbar + sub combo for $98.

Don't know what your budget is, but I'd probably go for the Samsung.

This has been a on-going question in the Plasma/LCD thread

Amazon has that sound bar + sub combo for $168 shipped right now. Looks like they went ahead and price matched the black friday pricing.

Thats what I did when I got my 60 inch 240hz tv a year ago. I got a soundboard from Amazon to get rid of the ss wires and I've been good. Sound is way improved plus I can bluetooth other devices like my tablet my phone etc for music and sound as well

I am looking at these 2 soundbars, wondering if anyone had any experience with either of them. I did some reading and they appear to be pretty decent each having their pros and cons. The Vizio does not have hdmi which is not a big deal to me as my ports are all used up. I know I could get a splitter if the hdmi was important. Any help would be appreciated.

Speaking of soundbars, does anybody have any experience with SONOS? I know this is pricier, but I'm really interested in this.

The SONY Soundbar is the bomb...I have the HTCT 150, which has 4 HDMI outlets(most soundbars only have 2)...I'm assuming the 260 does as well. You'll rattle the walls bro. Here is the back of mine...

If you don't notice lips out of sync with audio then I wouldn't mess with it. Chances are if the TV is supplying the audio to the sound bar there won't be anything you notice.
