Early prediction: this will be the best movie of the summer.

I think I might agree with you on that. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean this in a negative way towards the Guardians, but this is Marvel's way of saying "if this can be successful, we can do anything!"
I look for this to draw huge numbers and set the foundation for an extended MCU. I don't read comics, the majority of my knowledge comes from internet and podcasts, but I'm really exited to see Marvel branch off into these more obscure characters. I've heard they're already in production for a Daredevil Netflix series as well as other characters.

From the trailers alone it looks like the "paint by numbers" type of writing and character development has been loosened and honestly it just feels different from all the other Phase 1/2 movies. I'm definitely looking forward to this and Days of Future Past.

100% on RT so far with 19 fresh reviews.

I wasn't looking forward to this movie, and honestly I'm still not (I just don't know these characters and the trailers haven't struck my fancy yet)... but that's a good sign that Marvel is spinning out winners no matter what they're given. I'm sure I'll give this a look because of the early positivity, though it's gotta stay consistent.

I been hearing a ton of podcast who love this movie. I've heard not better than cap 2 but that's a high bar. I'm probably going to enjoy this more because of Rocket Racoon
