I figured he just crapped his pants really badly or something and had to rush to the nearest toilet.

Good thing he just revealed his embarrassment and said "Move along, folks." I do the same thing if I trip over the sidewalk, crack my voice when teaching, or someone notices my fly is down. Thankfully the latter hasn't happened since fifth grade, though.

Looking to see if they'll announce a new Nexus tablet here. Kinda want a 2013 Nexus 7. Maybe if this gets announced the price on the 2013s get knocked down.

CES: PlayStation Now Hands-on Impressions: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/01/...on-impressions

Sony's much-anticipated Gaikai-powered streaming gaming service, PlayStation Now, made its debut today at CES. It was the first time we got to see the service in action, and more importantly, play PS3 games in realtime over broadband. Though the service won't launch until the summer and many details about the company's plans are still forthcoming, today's demo included live gameplay of The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, The Puppeteer, and God of War: Ascension running on a web-connected Sony Bravia TV with a DualShock 3 synced over Bluetooth.

For the unfamiliar, PlayStation Now, provides backwards compatibility to the PS4, but also extends PS3 games to the PS Vita and even devices not even intended for gaming, such as smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs. Sony recommends that players have a broadband connection of at least 5Mbps for an ideal gameplay scenario, but slower connections will also be supported. But even still, 5Mbps is below the national average for in-home broadband, and many gaming enthusiasts will have a beefier connection.

PlayStation Now is capable of streaming content at 720p on HDTVs, though resolution will likely vary on mobile products and handhelds. In terms of picture quality, PlayStation Now looked good, though unsurprisingly, with some slight identifiable artifacting and compression. But even with the minor muddled lens, it didn't diminish the experience in a significant way. Latency was also surprisingly low, though I'd be curious to see how the system fairs with more precision-demanding games.

So far, Sony has only announced support for the DualShock 3 on BRAVIA TVs, but hopefully DualShock 4 integration will be added before PlayStation Now arrives on HDTVs sometime this year.

Regardless of what device you play on, however, Sony promises players will have unfettered access to the features they would otherwise find on a PS3, including Trophy support, cloud saves, and even online multiplayer. Most impressively, Sony says that PlayStation Now players will be able to participate in online matches regardless of whether they're playing natively on a console or streaming over the internet.

I also got a chance to see PlayStation Now functioning on a PS Vita, and much like Remote Play streaming from the PS4, it looked great. The smaller display makes the visual imperfections associated with streaming less evident.

What surprised me most, however, is Sony's embrace of non-Sony products for PlayStation Now. Although specific partnerships have not been confirmed, Sony has said that it will extend PlayStation 3 games to smartphones, tablets, or even TVs outside of its own family of products. It's a distinctly out of character for Sony, which has historically tied software and experiences to its own proprietary hardware.

But there's also still so much we don't know. What will the subscription fee be? How much will rentals cost? Does the experience hold up in a normal household environment? And, perhaps most importantly, what will the library be like? Time will tell.
