Is this a continuation of the previous 24 series? I've never seen a single episode but I want to start watching the new show, although I'm worried a bunch of stuff will go over my head because I don't know any back stories

The producers have stated that you don't need to have seen any prior years to watch the new season.

That being said aside from relationships between characters from the past, there may be some small things you would miss not having seen the show in the past. I wouldn't think it would be anything major though.

Yeah go ahead and watch the new stuff but don't deprive yourself of season one. I guarantee you will like it. But for any 24 season, do it spoiler free.

Since Ill be watching the playoffs tonight there's a chance Ill just catch this one when its over. I used to love that so I could skip all of the commercials.

It was nice to get two episodes this week. It felt like the show never left the air. Glad to have Jack back.

I enjoyed those episodes so much. 24 was such a great show that suffered from always having to out do what it had previously done. So I'm thinking a return after all these years can really lead to a return of those great seasons. I loved that first countdown of the first episode.

Other than having to deal with the return of Audrey, I thought it was a great 2 episodes. Always wanted Heller to be President, so glad he's in that role now.

Probably the first show I ever watched religiously. I was 10 when in premiered.

I was hesitant about it but I think I'm going to love the shortened season.

Every episode always had something that would keep you interesting but I think with this we are going to skip a lot of the fluff we used to see.


We didn't have to deal with 4 episodes of an unnecessary back story on Jack or Chloe and we jumped right into it.

The only thing I didn't really care for was the fact that nobody at "CTU London" knew Jack and Chloe's history. How is that possible after all the **** that's happened? Other than that, it was like coming home. Felt like it never left.

I thought that was the CIA, not CTU? Idk, maybe I'm wrong. Everyone should know who Bauer is but I'm just assuming CTU was dismantled and swept under the rug.

So happy Jack is back. Hopefully 24 lasts more than this half season or whatever it is they supposedly have planned.
