Re: 24: Live Another Day
Probably not necessary but just in case...
SpoilerSo I don't want to downplay anything because that was a FANTASTIC season. I liked the shorter format but I do feel it was rushed at the end. Would have preferred maybe 18 episodes or so...
The finale was very predictable. I was ready for the silent count at halftime but I couldn't figure out if it was going to be Kate or Audrey.
Last and probably most importantly, I know Kieffer has said he's done with it but I truly believe if he was 100% certain of that, he would have been executed in the final scene rather than taken away. Maybe, just maybe we'll get lucky.
But then, what was the silent count at the end for? That's where I'm torn. No one else died after Audrey.Comment

Re: 24: Live Another Day
They used the silent clock to end season 6 after Jack left Audrey so it's been used before to end a season without a death.
I think they used it because of what happened and in case this was the end.
The show runners have already said that if a story they're excited to tell comes to them and Kiefer agrees, they'll be back, so hopefully they do.

Re: 24: Live Another Day
You can't just end a great show like that all sloppy.
Jack just gives himself up to the Russians who had a covert guy in the mix killed the president unaware of it all the device not even mentioned Kate just quitting and Chloe rolling off with Marcin Gortat.
What the heck kind of ending was that? They bring the show back after years just to end it like this?
at least Segway another character for Jack or let him and Kate team up...something other than a cheap helicopter scene with another sniper in the picture for no reason at all.
It's just sloppy and weird to go through all of that for Jack to go out in a wimper when a few minutes before he was going to blow out his own brainsComment

Re: 24: Live Another Day
I guess we kinda got 24 hours this season but yes it needs to be another one.
I was thinking. If Kiefer doesn't come back, would fans accept a 24 season with Kate as the lead and reform CTU with Chloe, Erik and Belchek??Comment

Re: 24: Live Another Day
I'd like to see another season, too.
I read an interview with one of the writers/producers, Jon Ceaser, and he said the way they ended it was to leave open all kinds of possibilities of the show returning.
They don't know when they are making the series if it will end or go on based on ratings and if Fox ask them back.
Kiefer told Letterman it was a one-off. I'm not sure if he meant that for Kiefer or 24.Comment
