    Late Nite TV

I grew up on Carson and have seen them all. Ferguson I think is the best on currently.

I think Ferguson has the best monologue out there while I think Letterman is probably the best interviewer out of all em. Fallon has gotten A LOT better since he first started and is a good combination of them all IMO.

IMO, Fallon is the most entertaining person on television right now.

I always hated Fallon on SNL but he does make a pretty good host.

I tend to browse around all of the big shows/hosts. I could care less for the interviews, and mainly watch for segments like Leno's "Headlines", Conan's old bit where he edited the mouths on celebrities, or Kimmel's "Mean Tweets".

I read an article a couple days ago about Fallon taking over the Tonight Show and he's got a very solid head on his shoulders. He's actually quite happy that his movie career was aborted after Taxi (with Queen Latifah) and has really taken to his talk show hosting duties. He did come across as a bit harebrained with his quotes but having said that he realizes the magnitude of the Tonight Show and he wants this to be his job for life.

I'm really pulling for him here. He seems to fit in with the legends of the Talk Show medium with his passion for the medium and wanting to put his best foot forward. Fallon has gotten something with the Tonight Show that Leno has never had which is the restoration of the "starring" tag which Carson had during his tenure and Leno was only left with the "with" tag. I think even Conan got the "Starring" billing as well during his very short stint.

Do any of you know how Jimmy gets those huge album covers? The ones he shows before the musical guest(s) perform.

I watch the Stewart/Colbert combo. I'll only check out stuff from the others if there's a viral video on YouTube.

Fallon seems like a good person and it seems he genuinely enjoys what he does but I find him horrendously unfunny. Will only watch if I hear there's a guest that I like.

Probably just print them out in studio.

Anyone else watching Late Night w/ Seth Meyers?

                      It's, uh...I don't know.

Edit: Should add that I've disliked Meyers' delivery on SNL, and never been much of a Fred Armisen guy so I don't know what I expected.

^ It felt like an extended version of Weekend Update. I'll give it a couple more shows.

I hope Seth does good... He was on the Howard Stern show last week and was a great guest... I'm pulling for him

Yeah, I didn't hear the Stern interview, but I like him when I see him in things. Hope he can adjust some things away from the first twenty minutes just being Weekend Update Plus.

I found it impossible to concentrate on because I'm so blown away by the "amateur" look of the set...

It looks worse than some cable access thing from the early 80's...

(esp. compared to the "Starship Enterprise" level that came with Fallon's "upgrade")

                              YIKES!

IF NBC is serious about this guy and this show, you'd think they'd bring the set up to current "industry standard"...
