Well that's good. Looks like I'll be giving it a shot then. I really need to get on watching Fargo. I get intimidated by sitting down and watching a movie for 2 hours lol

Billy Bob Thornton sums it up in the video, "same type of people, new stuff happens". Watching the film is not necessary, although my bet is it wouldn't be a chore, and you'd be hooked early.

And for those that don't know, this is a limited series. It's over after 10 episodes.

I don't think I could do it anyway since my cable is included in my rent so I don't have access to any "proof" of cable anyway.

Fortunately it'll be on three times in a row tonight (and probably a few more times the next couple days) so I'll just have to pick one
Refresh my memory. You don't get FX?

        Re: Fargo

        I'm "all in" on this...

LOVED the movie (although 1996 seems like two lifetimes ago) / the cast looks solid / the Cohen Bros. are on board AND it's gotten pretty universally great (pre) reviews...

        What's NOT to like?

I do but I have a daily routine (OCD related) where I listen to headphones at night after 11 for a couple hours before bed. The 10 pm slot tonight is Person of Interest so there's a conflict with finding time for the episode. It sounds silly but it's actually hard for me to adjust my routine :o

Not silly at all. There are follow up episodes at 11:30 PM (EST) and 1 AM (EST). Like kehlis said they're an hour and a half.

                  Re: Fargo

Yeah the premise is it's a 10 hour long movie in the form of a series.

Billy Bob Thornton is absolutely perfect in this role. Great premiere.

Agreed, has the tone of the movie down perfectly. I think I'm going to like this police chief better than Frances McDormand's character in the film. Of course, that's saying a lot.
