    Your newest X-Man...

It's finally happening. A comic book character (and eventual stand-alone movie) that your wives and girlfriends won't have a problem watching!

    Harrumph...

Well I guess it'll be an easy sell for the gf/wives out there. I just find the character a bit irritating.

Hopefully he can pull off a cajun accent. I'm imagining it sounding silly. As far as look, it works and Tatum is athletic so he can pull off the moves and stunts.

So sad that my favourite x-men will be played by a crappy actor

Yes..... 21 Jump Street SHOULD make the top 100 in the 2K IMDB list, of course until 22 Jump Street is released and knocks it out.

This is another bad casting move in the world of superhero movies. Unknowns just typically work better. Iron Man/Downey might be one of the few exceptions.

Eh, I have learned to stop overreacting to the casting decisions.....

Tatum seemed excited about playing the part....maybe he does well...

I admittedly can't picture him doing a cajun accent either though..

I think it's a good decision. He already has the look, and he can do the semi-long hair as well.

                Spoiler

And he won't have any problems doing the accent. Like the article said, his dad is from Louisiana, he's from all over the south. And he's been filming 22 Jump Street in Baton Rouge.

I think Taylor Kitsch sucked as Gambit in Xmen Origins Wolverine, and he was virtually an unknown at the time.

Before his own title, Tatum is going to appear in at least the next group film, X-Men: Apocalypse.
