I was simply suggesting that the story line would be or probably be heavily drawn from the comic. Something working for batman in his favor. That we don't know about. I think the Frank Miller comic is the best for real life.

Yes I've read the Miller issues, I have them all.
I know this film draws inspiration from those issues. I'm talking film as opposed to comics.
And I'm aware of the weakened thing, but do we know if that narrative is being used in this film?
I guess it could be, it's got to be something to make it believable after all.
Yes it is a film and not the comics, but I'm not sure what that has to do with them being able to to tell a story of that nature.Comment

It won't happen because it's not dramatic or "actioney" enough, but I personally would much rather have a first meeting that is similar to John Byrne's post Crisis of Infinite Earth's encounter, where Batman creates a "hostage" situation that prevents Superman from just taking him out in .2 seconds. This to me is way better than any kind of fight, but I know that that kind of thing is too much of a slow burn for a 3 hour film.Jordan Mychal Lemos

The quotes around hostage are very important, because no one else was actually in any danger, only himself, he tricked Supes, to keep him at bay long enough for him to realize that they were really on the same side.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
So this "fair fight" some of you are suggesting is regular old dude Bruce Wayne against invincible, immortal god-like thing, Superman? Yeah let's not give the human any advantages. Make it a fair fight, lol.
Besides, how does regular dude Tony Stark survive fights with demigods Thor and Loki? It's a movie based on comic books, just enjoy it.Last edited by Cutter15; 04-22-2015, 10:22 PM.Alabama Crimson Tide

Someone earlier posted that there is no interpretation where Batman could win in a fair fight. Which as pointed out already, how is fighting one on one with a god like being a fair fight?Comment

Basically, writers have to come up with all these contrivances to put Batman over Superman and it's just tired and lame because of course Batman has to win because "He's Batman."
I'd really much rather have them debate over their ideologies and become best friends.Comment

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
I do love the argument that Batman being smart enough to use Supermans one weakness against him is a contrived way by the writers to have him win.
Do people not take advantage of their opponents weaknesses anymore?Comment

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
I'm asking you and people of this forum. Have you seen or read Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns? Because it explains a lot of what might happen in this movie. Especially using the Cold War as a plot pusher. But I'm sure that will probably be changed. I don't know what's in the movie. But don't get to serious about one trailer.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
