Okay, we get it. You guys think it'll suck. Until that time when it actually comes out and you're proven right or wrong, we don't really need to hear the same thing over and over again.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
Im sorry if I always seem negative about this, I would love nothing more than DC to have a good presence in the film department. But the track record in my opinion has not been good. I have been a DC fan my whole life and it is disappointing to me.
I am just as interested in any info that comes out as you all are. But I am not as excited as most seem to be. I am allowed my opinions, which at least a few others share and we can post as much of our dislike as you post your likes. If that bothers you that much block us. But I am not being rude, trolling or out of line or violating terms of service with my posts of not being a fan of this.Last edited by Bullit; 07-30-2015, 06:31 AM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

It sounds like this movie will suck for you no matter if it's good or not.
I'm rooting for a great movie myself. I don't like the casting for Lex or WW but I'm rooting for them because at the end of the day it's Batman vs Superman on the big screen.

I also honestly think that as a long time comic book fan. I am too picky some times on how things are done. I don't mind changes to story or variations on things that are canon but change for just the sake of change really gets my last nerve. Maybe that comes out to strongly negative and that is my fault, I will own that.
But it is also not right that I can't share my opinions on this. I mean it could be the other way around. Ok I get it you guys like this movie but do I have to read about it all the time. See what I mean. I am interested in any new info on this movie and I do read what you guys like about it. Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
I still can't for the life of me figure out why they're going so old with Batman. If they wanted a seasoned Batman to start a franchise with, then starting him ten years into his career would have been fine. But 20 years? About ready to hang up the cowl? Makes very little sense to me to take THAT Batman and start this huge world with him.Comment

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
Maybe its not you Bullit, but it seems like on every piece of news about the movie there is a plethora of negative responses at the ready. It gets rather old to see the same complaints on every article or media release.
I haven't really seen much to the flip side, though. People are expecting DC to fail for some reason. I guess that is partly because a lot of people see them as playing "catch up" to Marvel's medium of mediocrity. Man of Steel was a very adequate movie with some flaws that hopefully will be addressed in future sequels.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
Thread will be well beyond hundreds upon hundreds of pages by the time the film actually releases lol.
Changing gears.
Maybe this aged Bruce Wayne isn't going to be the representing Batman by the time an actual JL film comes together?
We're gonna wait for this film, then a WW film, then an Aquapac film. Any other films slated to release before they're all together in a JL film?Comment

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
Aquaman doesn't come out before the Justice League movie. It goes BvS, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League Part I.
It’s time to break out the popcorn, because it looks like many of your favorite super heroes will soon be coming to the silver screen.
And Batfleck is confirmed for Justice League. Unless they pull a Batman Beyond and have him training a sidekick.

As far as DC, the only thing I definitively don't like about their universe is their refusal to include the TV characters. I don't like that they've already got a great Flash and won't use him, or Green Arrow, even though I understand the reasons for it. The issue is that, and this is where Marvel does come in, now Marvel is heading to TV, and STILL bringing everything back around. If you love Daredevil, you're probably psyched to know those shows relate to the movie. For those of us who like the DC tv shows, it's just kinda been blow after blow. Nope that Flash you like won't be in the movieverse. Nope that Green Arrow won't, and even though the universes have nothing to do with each other, the tv shows still can't do certain things because of the movies.
I'm excited to see Superman on the big screen again, whether or not I'll enjoy him trying to take down Facebook I'm not sure yet, I'll have to withhold judgment lol. It also doesn't help that I LOVE Superman, and just kind of like Batman, so in the place of a second Superman solo movie, we're getting another Batman movie.

Wonder Woman starts shooting in Fall, Justice League next Spring. I'm really curious to see how the Wonder Woman movie turns out, I don't know nearly as much about the character so it'll be interesting to see a comic book movie where I can't predict the entire plot going into it.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 07-30-2015, 10:05 AM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Amen. I feel you on this. I am pretty sure I am the only person I know that thinks this movie is going to suck. Everybody that comes into my comic book store is so excited about this and I just don't see it or feel it in any way. Man of Steel is one of only a handful of movies that I have walked out of the theater on.
I don't think that's your intent and don't think the reply directed at you was meant to single you out so much as all comments of this sort. But thought I'd chime in, because maybe you don't even realize how it came across.
What new has come out that makes you think it will suck more? What are you disappointed about that hasn't changed your mind about how much it will suck? Those are opinions... above is just a repeated statement.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
I would love to have a Batman Beyond movie since the concept is interesting, loved the TV show and animated movie, and I believe with today's effects it could look awesome; but from what I've watched it's in a futuristic Gotham so I believe having him in a JL movie would lose its charm (futuristic suit and city). If the movie was situated in a 2030ish Gotham I could see it work.Comment

Batman Beyond movie would work really well in the far future from now, like before they decide to do any inevitable reboot
I know there is a lot of comparisons to Marvel with how they are building to Justice League, but we're gonna have an established Batman/Superman/WW which are pretty much the big 3 of maybe all superheroes before we get Justice League think everyone knows the story about Flash, GL, and Aquaman then say when Marvel started out with Iron Man, Thor, etc. Could have just been me not being too familiar with Marvel but I had no idea Iron Man was a thing until the movie.
Marvel had 5 movies before Avengers, DC will have 4 before JL. I honestly don't see much of a difference in the build up because it's not like Hawkeye and Black Widow had much of a story before the Avengers. Not sure if doing like 7 movies before JL is a good idea.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 07-30-2015, 01:49 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice
People know who the Justice League are...but that might be a negative. People consider Aquaman a joke. Green Lantern had an awful movie. Flash is doing well on TV, but they're not using him. It really depends on how well they're able to tell the story in Justice League of the team getting together. And they started their universe off with a BANG, everyone loved Iron Man so it basically set the whole thing in motion. And the RDJ casting was on point (I think Cavill is great so they matched them there). The first movie in this universe got crushed critically.
I also wonder how much it helped Marvel, that like you said, their heroes aren't as prominent. There wasn't going to be a bigger movie with more hype in Phase 1 than Avengers. Will Justice League match the hype for BvS? It depends on how the movies before it go. Avengers was a steady ramp up to the final product. This launch is Man of Steel (Superman), then Batman vs. Superman (going up), back down to Suicide Squad (going down), then Wonder Woman (probably going down again), then Justice League, it's a more uneven path to the team up as far as hype goes.
And if there's a big 3 of superheroes, Spider-Man is in it for sure, I don't think Wonder Woman is top 3 at all.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
